Team Ogun, which dominated the just concluded Para-Powerliting event of the 21st national sports festival in Asaba Delta State returned home in the late hours of Thursday the 8th of December 2022

The coach Oluwakemi Oyebola tutored para-powerlifters despite competing with only 10 athletes hauled a total of 9 medals ,2 gold, 3 Silver and 4 bronze medals in the para power lifting event .

Speaking on her team’s feat in Asaba Coach Oluwakemi Oyebola commended the athletes for their efforts, while also lauding the Ogun State governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun for his fatherly role in supporting the sports saying the hosting of Latifat Omolola Tijani who again won gold at the festival led to the super performance of the athletes .

She however, pleaded for more support for them to attend other upcoming championships lined up ahead of the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games just as she begged well-meaning Nigerians and corporate organisations to support the Federation’s efforts to build the sport.
