GTB is creating problems for their numerous customers due to their epileptic systems.

Firstly, GTB is the reason why my N20,000 has been stuck with the Corporate Affairs Commission since April of last year. I initiated a Remita transaction with my Naira Mastercard but GTB system couldn't process. I tried the second time but it couldn't. I gave up about trying and later consummated the transaction the following day with another bank, only for GBT to pass 2 debits of 10k each into my account 3 days later. The CAC, being another Nigerian parastatal has refused to respond to my several letters requesting a refund.

The latest incident happened yesterday 09/12/2022. I made 2 transfers of N1m and 310k from my savings account. Curiously however, I observed that the initial account balance remained unchanged after each transfer although the app told me that the each of the was successful.
After waiting for 5 minutes, I tried the 310k again only for the beneficiary to call me to as whether I made the transfer twice. I told her yes that she should refund one. All this while, I logged out of the app to login afresh so that the system might refresh itself. By the time I was able to login, my account was already overdrawn before the refund from beneficiary came in. I was able to do a POS transaction thereafter.
The most surprisng thing to me was that GTB went ahead to debit me with the 3 transactions of 1m, 310k and 310k again leaving me with a huge overdraft.

This is weekend and their GTConnect and customer care numbers are not going. I am presently unable to pay my bills this weekend.

I seriously hope that GTB would not be driven by any demon to charge O/D interest to my account because of the debit.

Sorry bro. I experienced same yesterday. After I initiated two transactions (168,500 and 1500), it was successful. Only to discover my balance remain the same.

To be sure of the two transactions, I had to transfer available balance to another account. It was successful. 30 minutes later I transferred some amount back to gtb account.

Because of this, I have confidence that the first two transactions were not successful, then I initiated another 168,500 transfer. I got a call from my customer if I did the transaction twice.

I check gtworld app, only to discover that I have negative balance of (-N156,000) to pay back. Meaning that the two transactions was successful.

The beneficiary transferred the money back to my account. But yet my account balance still shows negative.

Though, the error has been solved after several midnight calls. I would advice you call their customers care line. Kindly check your ATM card, their call centre line is there
