2023: ‘why It’s Stressful For Yorubas To Support Peter Obi’ – Isaac Fayose by Majesty2(m): 8:09pm On Dec 11, 2022
The younger brother to former Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, Isaac, has suggested why it’s stressful for Yorubas to support the Labour Party, LP, presidential candidate, Peter Obi.
Fayose said Igbos don’t trust Yorubas, hence it’s stressful to support Obi’s presidential ambition.
He lamented that despite donating personally to Obi’s campaign, they still don’t trust him.
In a Facebook post, Fayose wrote:
“Supporting Peter Obi is so stressful for a Yoruba person.
“The Igbos don’t trust themselves so how do I even expect them to trust me?
“I gave my hotel, Time, money, sometimes my food bank and my space. They still abuse me everyday.”

Obi has enjoyed massive support from Nigerians across the country, including the Southwest.
Recently, Fayose had said the All Progressives Congress, APC, candidate, Bola Tinubu is leading the pack of contenders for the presidency.
Fayose said Tinubu was leading other candidates because Igbos are not cooperating.
He said the sit-at-home order in the Southeast and the agitation for Biafra would relegate Obi.

Election is not a do or die affair. If the people like you, they vote you, if they don't like you,you gradually step aside.

No need overheating the polity

He should pick a hustle and stop talking trash. Apparently his support for whatever candidate is based on his own selfish gain and not the good of Nigeria. Obedients don't want that kind of support!

The only stress I get as a supporter of Obi. Is the stress from opposition party. Their dumb cover up is so stressesfull.

You no get talk….that was how your brother and Ondo state governor was championing southern presidency only for it to be a decoy for their selfish agenda.

You want igbos to support an illiterate drug baron and leave a more competent disciplined candidate PO.

On what category can you compare the two…

Personal achievement PO ticks all boxes.
Government the same.

The young man has been going round the country granting interviews and visiting flooded areas personally to see first hand what’s happening there.

Who will leave such a person to vote a sick man that is not even strong enough to visit poor Nigerians or student.

Oga if you want to support PO do so and stop generalising statements.

Do your path and stop talking like a child.

You are actually sounding like a sycophant, from your statement your support is not actually from a genuine heart, if you think you are doing the Igbos good for supporting Obi then you are the biggest fool.

Serves you well. You donated hotel and food to them instead of doing that to Tinubu.
Keep on, Victor Banjo's treatment by Igbos await you at the end

This one don carry come

That's what is said about them and they always prove us right. Hypocrites!!

One moment they say they're with you, the next moment they backstab you once a big offer is made to them. Look at Adeyanju.

Nobody begged him to donate whatever and nobody abused him except his brothers that felt he should have supported their grandpa. He just came online and announced that he wanted to donate.

This guy completely lost relevance on nairaland the moment he declared for Obi. Since then, he has been showing massive support for P.O without Nairaland highlighting his gestures. But watch and see how fast the moderators will move this to FP simply because of a little misunderstanding he complained about. They will do anything in their power on this forum to taint Peter Obi's image and make sure he loses support. I want to enjoin my Yoruba brothers to stay resolute and remain steadfast. February is the goal, and it's almost here. We will be victorious in the end!

The issue is not IGBOS vs Yorubas, or Hausas. No matter how you try to tribalize this election, you will fail.

The issue is APC fielded a very old, frail, sick Hard Drug Lord and Baron, who faked everything about himself; from birth through education to health, social and financial life. He has a doggy life style.
He is contesting against much more responsible, mature, more educated, younger, straightforward, uncontaminated, verifiable more modern, people's candidate.

There are far better candidates APC should have presented, but they want to continue in their failed style of leadership

Igbos don't trust Yoruba, yet igbos voted Obasanjo twice even when Buhari chose okadigbo and when he chose umezeko, I think this person is over expecting from igbos, what else do you want them to do ?

If you support Obi based on igbo sentiments you will fail but if you support Obi based on you want a better Nigeria and you believe he is the candidate capable of doing that, you will succeed
