����� India and Russia to begin settling payments for shipments in rupees next week, local media reports.

At least five Russian banks have received permission to open up Vostro accounts in Indian banks. A Vostro account enables a foreign bank to hold an account in a domestic bank in the domestic bank's currency, Now there are about 10 such accounts.

“A number of issues have been sorted out. Exporters and importers have begun approaching banks to open the accounts," said Ajay Sahai, chief executive of the Federation of Indian Export Organizations (FIEO).

�According to India’s Ministry of Trade, the country will be able to conduct 16.38 percent of its trade with Russia and other states in rupees. Trade with Pakistan will be the only exception.
Imports from Russia to India have grown five times during the first five months of the 2022 fiscal year.

Russia is India's true ally. When the US was arming Pakistan and supporting its aggression towards India, it was the soviet union that stepped up and balanced the acts. So many examples to quote. Russia stood by India for so long, that the average Indian will overthrow their government than hate Russia. In Asia, it is Vietnam, India, and probably China are true friends of Russia.
