CONGRESS OF NIGERIAN YOUTH (CONYO) INDUCT HIGH CHIEF OLAKUNLE JOSEPH (ASIWAJU OF ORILE IMO) AS PATRON

The assertion that Nigeria is a blessed nation is a truism of monumental dimensions. Inspite of the disparaging acts of a few charlatans in the geo-polity, there still abound men of character and value whose principles and actions ignite hope. These men are symbols of consolation who, by their deeds across time, have consistently lifted the banners of genuine patriotism, business integrity, true statesmanship, perseverance and other important values. And by a mixture of sheer grit and hard work, while steering their brands, they have become creators of employment, history makers as well as society’s standard references for success.

Among these unique individuals is High Chief Olakunle Joseph, whose activities and community role stand out. He is a rare gem with panache and a father with an infectious value system. He stands as symbol of hope to millions of Nigerian youths and an Ambassador that encapsulates a warm relationship with people of other ethnicities, religions and cultural values.

High Chief Olakunle Joseph, the Asiwaju of Orile-Imo, the Adele Oba of Orile-Oko and the Chairman Laleck International Group has quite an impressive record. Many stories of him in the public space are tonics for motivation, for embedded in them are many lessons of doggedness and commitment.

For being a true symbol of the Nigeria desired by millions of youths, this made the leadership of Congress of Nigerian Youth to induct him as the National Patron of the organization. Congress of Nigerian Youth (CONYO) is the umbrella body for millions of progressive Nigerian Youths. The organization is saddled with the responsibility of promoting peace, unity, good governance, youth entrepreneurship and women empowerment.

During the Induction, the leader of the delegate, Amb Adetunji Abdulkabir Adeyinka noted that Asiwaju Olalekan Joseph is a man armed with vision to change public orientation regarding development of young Nigerians. He further noted that the award recipient is a man whose story inspires confidence, determination and motivation to upcoming generation.

In his acceptance speech, Asiwaju Olalekan Joseph thank the leadership of the organization for deeming him fit to be Inducted as the National Patron of the organization. He also promised to continue his good deeds and contribution to the development of the nation. He advised the Nigerian youths to shun cultism and any form of violence. He also implores Nigeria Youths to start taking the mantle of leadership of our great nation. Citing the present leaders of our country, he noted that majority of them became Head of State in their Youthful age. Conclusively, he promised to contribute to Youth Development because he see them as the Bed-rock of the Nation.

Thanks.
Adetunji Abdul-kabir Adeyinka
Secretary, Congress of Nigerian Youth (CONYO)
