The Federal Government has disclosed that delivering the Port Harcourt-Maiduguri Eastern Rail Line during the life time of the current administration is no longer feasible due to its inability to secure foreign loans that will make 85 percent of the funds needed to execute the project. https://www.sunnewsonline.com/breaking-eastern-rail-corridor-no-longer-feasible-fg/ 2 Likes 1 Share

The Japaneese, Germans and Chineese can construct Railway lines from places like Maiduguri to Lagos in less than 12 months. Governance in Nigeria is rather filled with lack of determination by politicians to undertake and execute massive projects. 125 Likes 8 Shares |

Don't worry. Obi will make it over-feasible But the question remains!. Why embark on a project you can't complete, talkless of funding it? My solution: get private investors to finance the project and give them a cut from the profits generated within a particular period of time. I.e 12 years. 28 Likes 2 Shares

Even President Buhari is tired of all these Excuses given by his Ministers and employees First, we don't need an 85% foreign loan for the project. Revive Ajaokuta Steel complex, other metal and iron need for a rail track construction will be easy. He had said government was left with no choice but to halt the ongoing construction of the Port Harcourt-Maiduguri Eastern Rail Line due to insecurity and incessant vandalism. Then increase security around the construction perimeter and talk to the local leaders Anyway Reviving Ajaokuta Steel Complex is a Top Priority for Hamza Almustapha Presidential Candidate for Action Alliance. I heard Him talk about it. 4 Likes |
