Yes, actually. When it comes to quality, you get what you pay for. There are two categories of apparel to learn about. The decent goods can be found in separate sections from the cheap stuff.

Let's begin with the clearance racks, where quality apparel can be found at a fraction of the regular price. Many purported deals, however, are overpriced and should be avoided.

Sure, you saved 40% from the original price, and another 20% from the sale price, but the quality of the clothing is sometimes not worth the savings. More money is spent on an item that wears out more quickly and leaves you feeling less satisfied. Then you'll have to go out and spend additional money to find a deal.

Find a high-quality item from a reputable designer as your first stop. The "excellent stuff." The real steal is found in the design department. As an illustration, consider a quality polo shirt. You pay a bit more for one, but it serves you well for many years. There is a saving in the long run.

Should you, therefore, avoid the clearance sections? Not. Once you've settled on an item of apparel, you can browse the clearance rack for a cheaper version of the same make and model. Do not hesitate to purchase anything analogous if you come across it. When it happens, you'll know you got a great deal. If you don't find what you're looking for, keep searching.

Don't forget that there are two distinct tiers of clothing: the cheap stuff, and the good stuff. I hope you enjoy your shopping experience, that you discover exactly what you're looking for, and that you get a fantastic deal.

Marketing Strategy For Beginning Copywriters - 3 Reasons to Stay Out of the Bargain Bin

These days, you can find bin stores near me You know, the big bin thing up front with the ridiculously cheap stuff in it? (the bargain part). Even though the items in the bin are dirt cheap, they aren't exactly moving out of the store fast. The answer is obvious: As a result of an inherent stigma that it must be of poor quality. It's not even cheap enough to be worth that. Why? That's why it's in the clearance section:

Beginning a career as a freelance copywriter presents its unique challenges, and there are as many theories about how to "break in" into writing as there are authors. A business journalist recently wrote an article arguing that extremely low pricing is the key to breaking into a new market. This statement confused me so much that I read it twice. Surely he meant, "Don't set ridiculously low prices." But the advice was out there: solicit employment by offering to work for free. Put yourself in the sale section, was the gist of what he was suggesting.

It's true that if you look around at different writing blogs, you'll notice that this is a common tactic. Someone was offering up to $8 per hour on Craigslist to write a business letter, which caught my attention. However, this does not automatically make it a sound tactic. When you price your services so low, you paint yourself into a corner from which it may be tough to escape as a writer, so think carefully before you make that decision. Furthermore, there will always be a competitor who offers lower prices.

To begin, you might turn away reliable customers if your pricing is too low. Let's say you've discovered you need a tooth out. For $25, one dentist will extract your tooth. Someone else claims his fee is $400. Even though I'm not familiar with the normal rate for having teeth extracted, I can tell you that $25 sounds absurdly low. I'd be suspicious of any dentist who charged so little. Even before I saw the bill, I figured out in my head that the $25 dentist couldn't possibly be very good. No, I won't be putting my teeth into it.

The same is true if you charge less than the going rate for your services. The costs charged by professionals are expected by their clientele. Clients will naturally conclude that you offer subpar services if your rates are too low. Even if this is your first task, charging professional rates will make the client wonder, "That makes a lot of sense. If he can command that rate, he must deliver satisfactory results." You're cementing your reputation as an expert in the client's eyes.

Second, it can be difficult to shake the client's perception of you as a cheapskate once you've given them that impression. Regardless of whether or not you inform the customer that this is a limited-time offer. And even if he enthusiastically agrees, he now knows he can get you for less money. This gives him bargaining power in future talks to obtain low-priced goods from you. You've finally "broken in," and you have a client, but if they don't pay you what you're worth, what's the point? More importantly, in my experience, many clients who are looking for cheap writers aren't serious, or they may arrive with other variables that could wind up costing you even more. It could be that they have a limited budget and are worried that this element will determine whether or not they can complete their project. A symptom of this is a failure to feel satisfied with your work, no matter how good it is, and a subsequent need for ongoing reworking. Clients who are on the lookout for inexpensive writers sometimes have lofty expectations.

Lastly, if your marketing plan mostly consists of undercutting competitors' prices, you should anticipate that many other people will use the same tactic and some may even be eager to undercut you. The obviousness of this is highlighted by websites like Elance and Craigslist. That's not to say that low-paying writers aren't a formidable foe, but it is worth noting.

It's not easy to break into a new field, and it can be tempting to undercut the competitors by charging less. However, you should not take that action. It's bad for business since it gives off a negative impression, the customer may be resistant to changing their mind, and you're always at risk of being undersold. While it's unlikely that you'll be able to command $200 an hour right off the off, you should still charge what you believe your services are worth. You don't want to end up in the "cheap bin" of writers.
