Russians like black so much?

Take it easy OP. I hope you are not one of those visa agents or perhaps you posted the above out of excitement. There are lots of racism in Russia, Ukraine, and many other Eastern European.

It happens more elsewhere but their media will not let you see it. Anything to paint them as racist will be censored by their media so your thoughts about them can be controlled.
They over amplify the little ones happening through their media to manipulate you into hating Russia

OP has seen for himself. It's left for you to believe him or continue doubting

Good for you chairman.

To each his own, they are demonic for all I care. Back in the days - during slavery, russia had black slaves and black free people there, did they tell you what happened to them like the rest of the blacks in eastern and even some western europe, - well, they killed all of them.

In terms of economic success, Russia is thrash. E better say I dey under ojuelegba bridge dey plan my future, than to dey Russia dey do am. They are also very racist. Dem dey price you for your back you no even know, dem dey gauge which concentration camp dem go post you go when dem decide.

Of course, you are one in town, so dem dey use you do propaganda for now. Just chop your money clean mouth. Make sure say you dey send am go Naija as e dey reach you, because at any point dem fit seize am, unto say pussie(putin) wake up anyday feel really bad or him see im period. No be America, wey your lawyer or you fit fight and win the case from their mistake or evil intentions.

Russia is a big for nothing country. Also be careful not to be drafted to Ukraine, the weapons wey dem dey use play, na one way ticket toys, dem dey hardly miss, and na still light offensive and defensive systems, as am talking to you now, some high level systems with some restrictions dun dey enter Ukraine, any occupying Russian or their mercenaries go hear wynn. No be child's play.

Good luck on your safety and survival.

This is false. Russia did not keep black people or even anyone as slaves. Russia did the opposite of what European and American nations did as it released anyone that was brought into Russia as a slave. The closest it had to slavery were serfs who were people that worked a few years for anyone they owed money or as punishment for crimes. They weren't slaves since they could not be sold. They were also "freed" the moment they paid their debts/completed their punishments.

I kept reading page after page because I knew you'll show up and you didn’t disappoint. Any positive news about Russia startles you since it doesn’t fit your propaganda about Russia being a poor backward nation.

This is someone giving you a firsthand report and your response is to dig up negative news about Russia — because a report about Russia written by people working at a tabloid in the UK is truer than a firsthand report from someone currently in Russia. Just look at a classroom in a remote area of Russia. Kind of makes me wonder what the ones in Moscow looks like.

I don't know the OP, but I'll attempt to offer some perspective on a few things about this thread. I don't think the OP is up to anything shady, as some have suggested. However, the OP has certainly overstated several things.

The OP has done a good job documenting his journey, but too many people visit a place for a brief time, and make conclusively assertive statements, like "there is no racism in Russia." The more accurate statement is "I haven't experienced racism in Russia."

Just for context, I have only briefly transited Russia, which was only 6 hours in Moscow. However, my fiancee is native Russian, and we've lived together nearly 4 years. So she tells me a lot of first-hand things she has observed, as a native.

A few things the OP has inadvertently overstated (by no ulterior motive of his, just a common thing people do):

1. Racism: I'm not someone who runs around yelling everything is racism, and I don't even watch TV, so I have nearly zero media influence on my opinions. So is there racism in Russia? You bet your sweet ass, there is. Just like anywhere in the world, the majority of people are NOT racist. However, some native Russians have a significant racial prejudice against others. This isn't even mostly about blacks, as there aren't too many blacks in Russia.

The main victims of this racism and discrimination are those from the neighboring countries, like Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan and the likes. My lady tells me a lot of stories of how people from those places are regularly harassed in the streets, on trains and such. Typically being told to go back to their countries, by random people, and how she felt bad for them, whenever she saw it happen.

2. Russian Police: Russian police in the grand scheme of things are better than Nigerian police, but that is a very low bar to set. However, Russian police are also very corrupt. People bribe them on the streets, just like Nigerian police. So once again, instead of "Russian police are as clean as a whistle and incorruptible," the accurate statement is "In my time in Russia, I have had only good experiences with the police."

3. Development: Yes, the big Russian cities are developed. However, the "real Russia" is a lot of underdeveloped villages, with dirt roads and babushkas everywhere. Russia is certainly much more developed than Nigeria, but also faces significant poverty and underdevelopment in its rural areas.

I also see a lot of people talking about the Asian people in the image. Yes, they're clearly ethnically Asian, and that's because Russia overlaps Europe and Asia. Russia is also the largest country in the world, with parts of it having ethnically Asian populations. Most parts having ethnic Russians, some parts have ethnic Turkic people (Bashkir, Tartar etc).

All these different parts speak both Russian and their local languages. For instance, people in Bashkortostan, Russia speak Russian and Bashkir language. Russia is a lot more diverse than many people realize.

If you want a great travel vlogger than goes deep into the remote parts of Russia, check out "Bald and Bankrupt" on YouTube.

And mushroomFarm, all the best with your studies.
This is a more balanced view.

I don't know which book you read, but I have not read any Russian book on the subject, because dem too like to white wash things.

Russia like many parts of Europe, had blacks before now, the Europeans began to get scared of uprisings, that was why they re-sold some and killed the rest.

Do you also know another major anger of Russia was/is that they couldn't colonize many african countries in time, but now they are in Central African Republic, and they will die than to let this small resources warehouse go anywhere.

Let us all be thankful that Russia didn't come in droves to africa like western Europe, because even America wouldn't be able to convince them to let go. heck, even France is having a hard time letting all the resources access go, not to talk about a very very mean Russia.

Russia was a slavery country. No different from America or UK. It is just that they don't care to write it in their history books.

Everything to you is Black and White. In your little world, anyone that supports anything Russian hates the US. And anyone that says anything against the US supports Russia. I can love Russia and the US at the same time. I can hate both at the same time.

And the fact that I say something positive/negative about one doesn’t mean I love/hate it. The OP himself made it clear that Russians don’t hate Americans. So what gives?

And what is my business with whether you mentioned Ukraine or not? It appears one of your superpowers is to expose the difference/similarities between Russia and Ukraine, depending on how it suits your narrative. You mean mentioning Ukraine makes your claim truer? If anything, including Ukraine in your comment tells a lot about racism in Ukraine.

Lastly, if I fire up Google, I'll see reports of African students getting killed in the US and UK. Similarly, I'll see reports of US, UK, and Russian citizens getting killed in Africa. So what was the point of you talking about Africans getting murdered in Russia? How did you even conclude the murders were racially motivated? Because it suits your narrative that Russians hate Africans?

As usual, you made no point other than making noise like an old radio that has lost its signal. Appreciate the beautiful things and stop behaving like a grumpy camel.

Epistle because of a simple post of mine calling OP out "that racism does exists in Russia just like many other countries".

Unlike the OP, atleast I never pointed out that racism doesn't exist in Western Europe or North America. We all saw George Floyd's encounter.

Get a life and stop jumping on my posts on Nairaland, but if you are still angry that I mentioned that African students were killed by racists in Russia - truth, then help yourself by jumping into the Lagos lagoon.
