Governor of Rivers State Nyesom Wike has insisted that the Southern region of the nation must hold the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) national chairmanship position. Iyorchia Ayu, a native of Benue State in the nation's North Central geopolitical zone, is said to be the PDP's current national chairman, according to Naija News. However, Wike insisted that Ayu's position must be filled by a Southerner on Friday during the commissioning of a project in his state. After visiting London on Friday, Wike and the other disgruntled governors of the G-5 group, also known as the G-5, arrived in Port Harcourt. |
