When I visit blogs, I almost always see American or European authors and hardly any African ones, particularly Nigerians. I am just curious as to whether Nigerians are into blogging. If so, how seriously would you take it i.e. investing in building a Wordpress blog vs. signing up on Tumblr, getting hosting and a domain, etc. Or do you find posting on forums enough to satisfy your need to say something on the web. What about personal blogging? Do you do that?

Well its a very difficult thing to blog in Nigeria i must confess and the major challenge is light and good internet i have been blogging now for couple of year and i will say its difficult in Nigeria .To make matter worse we have some unless hosting company whose there down time is so high and you can never know until they host you.The most annoying thing about the hosting company is that while your own site is down there own will be running.Presently am having a problem with the two of my site with this my presently host.My advice to any body that want to blogging they he should get a foreign host that all

You must not host your blog in Nigeria, you can use a reliable foreign host. There are dozens on them online. Also do not buy your domain name from the same host so that it will be very easy to leave when you are not satisfied with their service. They will normally offer a free domain to tie you in, but it is best practice to buy your domain separately.
