The Director of Special Duties, National Association of Nigeria Students, NANS, Zone C, Comrade Abiola Azeez Babatunde Adigun has stated that the Nigerian Nigerian students "should traverse the new year moderately as 2023 general elections approach."

NANS Zone C encompasses all conventional Institutions i.e universities, polytechnics, colleges, mono-technics and all affiliates Institutions in North Central Nigeria.

In a statement on Sunday, Comrade Adigun wrote: "solidarity greetings to all Nigerian students in Zone C which comprises of North Central states and FCT Abuja.

"2023 is an elections year, as a students, go and get your Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs) and vote for your favorite candidates. Do not let any politician use you as agents of destruction, do not do thuggery for any politician. You are also important and can be successful. Remember the axiom that only stubborn flies follow the dead bodies into the grave.

"In the same line, as we are entering 2023, it is pertinent I give you few admonitions that will help you to traverse the new year moderately if taken to use as the 2023 general elections approach.

"You should see 2023 as a great avenue to achieve what you could have achieved in the outgoing 2022. We are about to enter a new year that full of opportunities for you to transform.

"In conclusion, ensure that you put your education first and don't be discouraged with anything wet blanket will say about education, Education still remains the key to development of every nation," the statement concluded.
