Earlier in 1978, he had declared that the best presidential candidate needn't win! He installed Yar'Adua and Jonathan and we knew how it all ended. In all this time, it did not occur to him to lobby for an Igbo president, instead of rooting for Jonathan who naturally, cannot hold a candle to countless Igbo compatriots. He even attempted to go for a third term, bringing raw cash in various currencies to the floor of the National Assembly to bribe the legislators. Obi is well advised to run away from Obasanjo before it's too late. He can be president if God so wills it. Obasanjo has no electoral value and he knows it.

YES, Obasanjo is very right to drag Tinubu.

Tinubu and his boys have defeated and humiliated all elections they had against Obasanjo and his mushroom political children. Even when Obasanjo tried to cripple Tinubu's government by withholding Lagos LG funds, Tinubu still performed better than all the remaining 35 state governors together. It is then not surprising that Obasanjo has so much hatred for Tinubu. Nobody will like someone who has consistently defeated him on all sides.
