Filling Station Business by Damolux01(m): 5:38pm On Jan 07, 2023
Hello all...I have tried to search for a thread that talks about starting up or owing a filling station, but seem to find none, not even any that discusses the oil and gas business or sector.
So, I have decided to create one so we can discuss the business together and assist one another to grow. I recently took up a family filling station on a lease for a period of eight(cool years. I do hope to learn from the gurus, who have been into it for years.

Location is Ile-Ife, Osun state.

THIS IS INTERESTING,I'VE BEEN LOOKING FOR THIS KINDA THREAD BEFORE.....AS AT LAST YEAR TO SET UP A STANDARD FILLING STATION YOU'D BE NEEDING 13 MILLION NAIRA BUT NOW THAT THERES A LEASE OPTION ON THE TABLE I FEEL I NEED TO PRESS MORE FOR OPTIONS

This is what I had wanted to do before I saw this but it's good all the same.

Filling station business which is also a part of the Oil & Gas sector in Nigeria is a very lucrative business in it's own field but few people know this.

I have been enjoying the benefits for few years now and I will be glad to share my experience here.

Is it possible to brand a filling station that is not mine? I leased it for just 8 years. Would be glad if I can brand it with one of these major marketers so that one can get fuel at cheaper rate and sell it all on time.

And by the way boss...Let's learn to give out for free at times. Only God crowns ones effort. The little gelt won't do much actually. I value relationship over money(lucre).

13 million is small...Depending on your location and if you already have a landed property, you would need nothing less than 20 million.

You're welcome. You're in the right place. We would need your submissions too. BTW, where is your station situated?

Good thread. When I have time, I will give some insight into this business cos I'm currently running one filling station in Abuja that I just acquired after my leasing tenure expired. Although I'm not there physically to run it cos I'm out of the country presently but my wife's brother is helping physically there and get daily report and feedback from him everyday.

Though, I already have my food managers working effectively but I won't mind to know your capability and what service you could render to me.

I plan to expand my petrol station to other areas.

Good morning Bro, trust you and your lovely family are doing great. My capacity range from effective planning, organising and monitoring cum restocking of products to avoid stock out of products. Making sure that I facilitate heavy patronage in our stations with good metre dispensing ( that is I litre = 1 litre). Making sure that during scarcity of products we can still have products available due to careful forecasting plans. Thanks for your time.

Where do you reside? And would you mind relocating?

Funny but very true.

I had also planned on starting a Cab business with better standard cars but the increased cost of vehicles made me paused.
