Why Christians Must Also Prepare For The Gates Of Hell! "upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it." Matthew 16:18 Jesus prepared His church for the gates of hell, that's why when the gates of hell came with all the storms, despite how much it beat against the church, the gates of hell couldn't prevail against it. The gates of hell is the height of the storms that Satan brings up against the church or believers to make them fall away from the faith or to stop holding fast to God's Word. Matthew 7:24-25 (KJV) Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. This the reason there weren't stories of Christians leaving the faith, turning atheists or even becoming babalawos at the time as is the case today. It wasn't because they didn't also face the storms, because they did. They even faced worse and more severe storms than that which the present-day church is facing, but instead of their faith crashing because of the storms as is happening these days, they could not be moved because they were prepared for the gates of hell! Hence, instead of the storms, persecution, temptations, trials, and even deaths, making the church to fall, it, especially the killing of believers including the apostles, became a booster for the growth and advancement of the church, to extent it became foolish to kill them any further. Therefore even the much dreaded Roman empire with all their powers and military might couldn't prevail against the army of the church, despite that weren't physically armed, to the confounding of their Roman leaders. That's why the present-day church and believers must also prepare for the gates of hell, so that when the storms comes and beat against them, it shall not also prevail against them. The reason many fall away from the faith is not because of the storms they faced but because they weren't prepared for the storms. That's why their faith crashed when the storm came. The day of the storms is a certainty in the life of every believer, because persecution arises because of the Word. Matthew 13:21 Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended. That's why every believer must be prepared for the gates of hell, so that they don't find themselves crashing when the storm comes as the man Jesus described in this saying: Matthew 7:26-27 (KJV) And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it. If you used to be a believer but left the faith (turned atheist, babalawo etc.) as a result of the storms you faced, although you fell, as long as you're still alive, you can still rise again, because God is not willing that any man perish but that all come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9 But ensure that this time, you got it right and prepared for the gates of hell as the wise man Jesus described in that saying. Matthew 7:24-25. So that next time when you face the storms, no matter how it beat against you, it would not be able to make you fall, because you're built upon the Rock! God bless. 1 Like

The church leaders also have a key role to play regarding this, because the reason some Christians left the faith because of the storms they faced, is because their leaders did not follow the example of Jesus and prepare them for the gates of hell. So when the storms came and beat against them, they crashed and great was their fall! The storms are coming against the church in a way they've never been before, because these are the last days, so they better prepare their member for the gates of hell, so that when it comes, no matter how it beats against them, it shall not prevail! The Bible teaches that God did not create hell as a judgment for humanity. God created hell for the punishment of the devil and his angels. "Then He will also say to those on the left hand, 'Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels' (Matthew 25:41). And the devil who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and false prophet are. And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever (Revelation 20:10). |

Jones4190: My Dear, Prayerfully read the word of GOD and pray for understanding of HIS word, so you Don't be deceived. Yes GOD created Hell for the devil. GOD did not Create Hell Fire for Humans but Humans are there and Humans will be there. Every person that rejects the Free Gift of Salvation available Only through JESUS Christ will be in Hell Fire. Everyone no matter the number, who does not Believe on and Surrender to the Lordship of JESUS Christ will be in Hell Fire. Infact people are right now in Hell ! People will enter Hell today. Anyone who Departs this world today without a Genuie relationship with JESUS will enter Hell. That made me sad, and when I slept I saw in a dream a flowing stream for `Uthman bin Maz'un. I went to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) and told him of it. He remarked, "That symbolizes his (good) deeds." Muhammad confessed that he didn’t know the right direction: Say, "Indeed, I do not possess for you harm or right direction." -Quran 72:21 Muhammad said that he didn’t know what will be done to him or his followers Say, "I am not something original among the messengers, nor do I know what will be done with me or with you. Jones4190:1. That is also true of Heaven as well. Heaven and Hell are both not meant for humans. And that is the reason for Jesus Christ. He is the process to prepare those who choose to become citizens of the Kingdom of God for eternity either as Sons of God in Heaven(Eternal Reward) or Angels of the devil in Hell(Eternal Damnation), both groups not humans though they were in their beginnings.  2. Kobojunkie:they are so many misconception about heaven and hell, Heaven is not for every Christian or every believer, if heaven is for every believer Jesus wouldn't have says this statement “Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.” (Matthew 5:5) He did not say the meek shall inherit heaven but the earth, even John the Baptist is not in heaven because the bible says the least in heaven is greater than John the Baptist, if John the Baptist was in heaven, Jesus would not have made that statement because John has already been dead before he make the statement, Peter even says David is still in the grave. (Acts 2:29-34) Hence, Jesus Christ said: “And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.” (John 3:13) |

Jones4190:1. I have absolutely no interest in doctrines and traditions of men as my interest lies solely in that which is scriptural.. 2. Being born-again is no guarantee of Heaven, as Jesus Christ made clear there. Interesting of you to point to that teaching but before we move forward, Do you at least believe Jesus Christ when He said that He was sent only to the lost sheep of the House of Jacob - His Israel whom He, God, had originally scattered to all four winds , promising to gather back to Himself in His time - Matthew 15 vs 22 - 26 & Deuteronomy 30 vs 1 - 6? 3. God didn't offer the Kingdom of God to Israel before Jesus Christ and since John was of the Old Covenant and didn't get born-again before his death, clearly He didn't enter into the Kingdom of God. Recall that Jesus Christ said He came to call the sinners(of Israel) to repentance, not the righteous, like John the Baptist. |
