This man talk too much for my liking. Neither here or there. A man who spent 8years in the senate and he didnt remember then that such bill should be considered. Why is he disturbing us now?

Chochocho around like a parrot. Always wanting to trend. Sometimes you wonder how some people made it to the senate.

Touched a nerve there, didn't he?

Are medical tests not required for jobs in Nigeria? Is being the president not a job? Why is it that only urchins are protesting?
seunmsg:
Is there a legal backing for this? Is there any country in the world where candidates are forcefully subjected to medically test by the Medical Association before election? How exactly will this help them rule better than when medical test were not forcefully done?

Instead of subjecting candidates to medical tests, I prefer their records of previous public service, contribution to democracy, private sector achievements etc are subjected to test. These are the indices that can help us determine who is a better candidate and who is not.

So if the candidate was mentally stable when he achieved all those things in the past but now has mental issues you will still prefer a mad man to rule just because he did well before?

The questions Politicians will ask, that is valid...

Is this constitutional

NMA should not wait till the next election cycle year before they sponsor a bill like this, so that it will possibly be part of the electoral act.

God bless Nigeria

Oga wa, their health is also important. While past records are important, present well being is also sacrosanct. Yesterday, you scored 400/400 in jamb, became a professor at 26 and so on. Today you have Alzheimer's and you still want to be a lecturer and VC on top? Hell nah! Emile O'Corn fits that category.

See a comment made by a former senator of Nigeria! Shehu Sani, if you must know, disables, the aged and the sick are still citizens of Nigeria. By this comment, you are slighting, belittling and telling them that they are second class citizens.

Supported. cool

I dont know why a certain candidate who is aged, sick and mentally unstable would be disgracing himself and his followers upandown. We should not wait for him to disgrace Nigeria before we do the needful.

Is it in electoral law for this election? Nooooo! this is just to tickle those who think their candidate is very healthy and others are not. However, the last time I checked many of those who said Buhari would be dead of old age by the end of his first term are 6 foot under for common malaria disease. Only God knows who is truly healthy among us. If someone can attend campaigns, make noise in the process, should not find it too hard to command things to be done, that's what presidential power gives you.

You will be shocked to see that the ones who look healthy pack the most ailments.

Moreover, what exactly would they be testing for?

Malaria?

High blood pressure?

Prostate cancer?

Which exactly?

Re: NMA Should Conduct Medical Tests On Presidential Candidates, Results Made Public by Nobody: 2:33pm On Jan 12, 2023
Look at them desperately clinging on to constitutional provisions!

Under what constitution is Tinubu claiming the Presidency to be his turn?

You Tinubu supporters are so shamelessly shallow! It's not as if anybody mentioned names when the suggestion of the medical checks was made, but somehow out of guilt, you people are running amok backing your repulsive reasoning with the same constitution that you discard when it pleases your selfish interests.

What makes you think that pandora pathological liar Obi tuary will even take the test in the first place? Only him and his wife knows his true medical condition, you don't know. You only know what he wants you to know just like all other candidates.

It's not possible anyway, you can't force anyone anywhere in the world to take physical exam by force and then make the results public. Pls try and use your brain small small.

Does the electoral act requires it?

Yeah, many people wished Buhari death but he survived (Glory to God) but isn't it obvious that his poor health (which btw isn't his fault) affected his performance? He admitted it himself.

We need to know how healthy those who seek to lead us are before we entrust our fortunes to them.

As usual, zombies will always respond as a zombie. Given the late President Umaru Yar’Addua and Buhari's case scenario, drug and medical fitness test have become imperative for intending presidential candidates just as the DSS conduct security checks on them whether they have good public record of good standing in the time pass or not.

Nobody forced them to contest for the highest office in the land. Besides, they automatically become property of the state once they succeed as president.

Hence, no sane nation would want to suffer lost, waste resources and invaluable time for national development devoted towards attending to the health challenges of an unfit or health challenged president as it has been the case with the APC in the past 7 years Shogbo Seunmsg? Kaji ko? Inukwa ihe nkuru?

Did i mention Obi? You see why we say its PDAPC?

Even if Obi fails the test, its more reason tests should be conducted
