2023 JAMB Registration GuidelinesThe Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) is an examination board in Nigeria that is responsible for administering entrance exams for candidates seeking to enroll in Nigerian universities. The board was established in 1978, replacing the University Matriculation Examination (UME), which had been administered by individual universities.

The first JAMB exam was held in 1979, and since then, the board has been responsible for administering the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) for candidates seeking to enroll in undergraduate programs in Nigerian universities. Additionally, JAMB also administers exams for candidates seeking to enroll in polytechnics and colleges of education in Nigeria.
