You see your life...are we talking about Hollywood movies here... You guys keeping saying the movie promote our culture whilst The movie shows something else as against our culture... can you bring evidence where in the movie or movie poster that is clearly stated +18

The point is..if you watch Hollywood movies that are clearly rated +18 with kids..and now you are claiming this nollywood movie is something you cannot watch with kids..you are a hypocrite.. because is it only when it concerns nollywood movies that you suddenly remember you cannot watch it with kids??

Tell me ten blockbuster Hollywood movies and I will show you where it was clearly stated +18...

Kunle Afolayan

Kunle Afolayan (born 30 September 1975) is a Nigerian actor, producer and director. He is widely credited for elevating the quality of Nollywood movies though larger budgets, shooting on 35mm, releasing in cinemas, and improving cliché Nollywood storylines.

After starting his film career as an actor in the 1999 political drama Saworoide, Afoloayan made his directorial debut in 2006 with Irapada, a Nigerian supernatural thriller, which won the Africa Movie Academy Award for Best Film in an African Language. His follow-on directing credits include The Figurine, Phone Swap, October 1, and Citation.

October 1 was the winner of 16 major African movie awards in 2015 and the second highest grossing Nigerian film in Nigerian cinemas at the time of its release, a feat Afolayan was to repeat two years later with The CEO.

In 2021, the director signed a three-picture deal with Netflix.Swallow, the screen adaption of Sefi Atta's book of the same name was the first to be released in October 2021, followed by Aníkúlápó, an epic Nigerian fantasy released in September 2022.

Afolayan has described the work as a "Game of Thrones recreated in Nigeria but with a better representation of our culture”. Eleven days after its release, it was the #1 most-watched non-English Netflix original film.

Yes a Yoruba man indeed that hate anything relating to Yoruba.. I hail you.Someone like you would like to do this... Anthony Joshua vs Samuel Peter... Olu Jacobs vs Pete Edochie.... Wole Soyinka vs Chinua Achebe. It is people like you gave forgotten artist like Brymo the gut to insult Igbo tribe cos tribalism has eating you up to the extent that you claimed what you are not,Igbo claiming Yoruba just to be on social media spreading falsehood, causing confusion between Igbo and Yoruba. If I may ask what is your gain in this terrible act.All we want is peaceful Nigeria... Oga STOP TRIBALISM
Are you ok? Where have I ever claimed to be yoruba? Are you confusing me with someone else?or may be you’re high on oshogbo weed right? Cos I just don’t get….what do you gain by accusing someone falsely?
I merely stated a fact and you here spewing trash and lying against me, to what end I wonder…

What has tribalism got to do with this?Do you even know where am from?So I shouldn’t say things the way they are right? I am tribalistic yet I watched the movie, a supposed yoruba movie….
For your info the fact that the movie is the most watched movie on Netflix, doesn’t necessarily make it interesting . It was just the hype that made ppl watch it and most ppl that rushed to see the movie were highly disappointed ….
The movie is trash………..

He himself didn't appear to recognize the same king that ordered his murder just a short imwhile ago, neither did the King recognise him who he had ordered his murder earlier.. Everyone just carried on as if they were seeing each other for the 1st time grin

In your words "any movie I cannot watch with kids is useless"....

And I am saying but most Hollywood movies that idiots like you keep hyping and watching are movies which are also rated +18 and even some that they even pity you they will rate it +16......meaning they are not movies you can watch with kids since they are not 18 or 16......and that shows your lies and hypocrisy...going by your logic , the Holywood movies are useless too since you cannot watch it with kids..

Even this nollywood movie you people are arguing about. , I have not watched it and I am not even interested in it..but I only wanted to point out your hypocrisy...

The only interesting thing about the film is the setting arrangements. Enough and impressive creativity is exhausted in that regard.

Every other thing beside that is "wash".

Even this other movie sef elesin oba, very stupid movie, jst an overhyped gilbrish. How could a son who jst arrived from London after many years (medical doctor) killed himself for a stupid old flirt of an abobaku jst because of one stupid tradition.. Doesn't make any sense.
