Advice needed...from Alfa, imam, pastor, or prophet

I am a Christian, Someone I trusted helped me out to seek advice and cancel from an alfa, the alfa collected my name and gave this feedback.

Please explain what it means when Alfa says he will do a special prayer for you along with his colleague and that he must or will kill duck in this cause to do SARA (arms giving, I guess) alongside the prayer.....(Note: money is attached, though it is a small amount, and it is not a must that I make myself available or present during the prayers because of the distance.) 

Those it make sense, , which one is kill duck again with prayer?... To alfa is it normal or there's something fishy

And to Christian in the house what is your opinion on this

To say the truth, that Alfa is a confirm "Dibia" aka "Babalawo or just another Scammer!

1. You sought the counsel of this alfa, and now you ask us to counsel you on the counsel you received from the alfa? Does that really make sense to you?

2. Why ask us? Why not ask the Alfa who gave you the counsel for further explanation?

Why seek counsel from an alfa? Why not do that from a pastor since you're a Christian??

Before I posted that post, I was already thinking you might quote me since I saw you on the thread, and here you are

Please note that I didn't go personally to consult an imam or a counselor from alfa; someone I trusted helped me do that, and she told me about. At first, I was really mad, then thought about it again, which is why I brought this up if someone has experienced this kind of issue or knows someone who can or may shed some light on it. Will be glad if Alfa's can contribute. Is this kind of thing normal, killing animals to do special prayers to do SARA while doing special prayers with Others alfa?

No it's not, in fact, doing it will guarantee your failure. 'religious leaders' are ment to be people who lead people to God on behalf of Prophets. The Prophets were taught by God and people came to them for their problems, they never collected their money nor did sacrifices, rather, they did miracles, taught people to rely on God and pray to Him. When they passed away, people who learnt from them spread their teachings, and others corrupted it, they were misguided and lead others astray, and people followed them blindly, to their own demise.

In summary, what the alfa is doing is not what the Prophets taught, as they were the only one who had contact with God, and their message was one, even if people don't think so. The red flags are 2:
1. Paying money
2. Relying on the killing of an animal, and not God (sounds like magic)

I didn't memorise the evidences, but feel free to ponder upon these:
"And verily, We have sent among every Ummah (community, nation) a Messenger
(proclaiming): 'Worship Allah (Alone), and avoid (or keep away from) Taghut (all false deities
etc. i.e. do not worship Taghut besides Allah).' "

And verily, this is My Straight Path, so follow it, and
follow not (other) paths, for they will separate you away from His Path. This He has ordained for
you that you may become Al-Muttaqun (God-fearing)."

"Say: Tell me then, the things that you invoke besides Allah, -if Allah intended some harm
for me, could they remove His harm, or if He (Allah) intended some mercy for me, could they
withhold His Mercy? Say: Sufficient for me is Allah; in Him those who trust (i.e. believers) must
put their trust." (39:38)

"Whoever wears talisman or an amulet would never see his wish fulfilled by Allah. And
whoever hangs a sea shell would never get peace and rest."

And invoke not besides Allah any that will neither profit you nor hurt you, but if (in case)
you did so, you shall certainly be one of the Zalimun (polytheists and wrongdoers). And if Allah
touches you with hurt, there is none who can remove it but He; and if He intends any good for
you, there is none who can repel His Favour which He causes it to reach whomsoever of His
slaves He will. And He is the Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful." (10:106, 107)

During the days of the Prophet (May the peace and blessing of Allah be upon him) there was
a hypocrite who used to harm the believers, some of them (the believers) said, "Come (support)
with us while we appeal to Allah's Messenger (May the peace and blessing of Allah be upon him)
for assistance against this hypocrite." The Prophet (May the peace and blessing of Allah be upon
him) replied, "Verily, no one should seek to me for assistance. Indeed, it is Allah Who is to be
sought for assistance and help."

Returning to your situation: You had a problem, lets call it 'spiritual', then you relied on other than Allah to seek a solution, even though it was from a 'religious leader'. That is not what the Prophets taught people, and if people learnt religious guidance from other than the Prophets, then they only learnt misguidance

You were looking for answers, i've given you. It's left to you to make a decision.
