MY OPEN LETTER TO MR. PETER OBI.

Dear Mr. Peter Obi.

We all know that the MAIN problem with Nigeria is corruption.

Corruption had crippled every sector in Nigeria, starting from Security, to Defence, to Justice, to Economy, to Education, to Health, to Commerce, to Infrastructure, to Social Development, even to having fun.
EVERYTHING.!!

So, Dear Peter...
Whenever again anybody asks you what you're going to do about any sector, just take your time to point out the exact corruption that is happening in that sector, and then, just say that you're going to block off all the possible leakages which are feeding such corrupt practices.

If they further ask you how you're going to stop the leakages, you can tell them that you would achieve such by the full implementation of the RULE OF LAW, and by adhering to the “international standard practices and methods” for doing things.
And it’s Really That Simple.

The Rule of Law is there guide our actions and inactions, and then, there are standard practices and methods for doing things.

Our main problem in Nigeria is that we do things our own ways, and we do things for personal benefits, and then nobody cares about doing things that are beneficial to everyone, but yet, we continue to expect good results.
And we are asking our Presidential Candidates what they would do differently...

The only thing any “Patriotic” President would do differently in Nigeria right now is to always do what is right, and then, find genuine ways to make every single citizen to also do what is right always.

Trust me Sir..
No other person amongst the other contestants can boldly have the courage to say such a thing.
IT'S ONLY YOU SIR.!!

So, Please Sir.,
Stop following them in beating about the bush while doing campaigns.
They are building upon fake promises, and fake hopes, and talking about fake plans on what to do about the security and the economy.

BUT THE ONLY RIGHT THING TO DO, IS TO STOP THE CORRUPTION.!!

You need to only campaign with the very fact that “You truly want to fix the foundation of our national existence by doing what is right as the President”, AND THEN, TO FIX THE NIGERIAN SYSTEM IN SUCH A WAY THAT THE SYSTEM NATURALLY CAUSES THE CITIZENS (AND RESIDENTS ALIKE) TO ALWAYS WANT TO DO WHAT IS RIGHT TOO, AND ALSO, WHAT IS BENEFICIAL TO EVERYONE.
Gratifications, Rewards, and Payments can come later, but let the right things be the most important factor in our daily dealings,, AND NOT “GETTING MONEY”.

In reality, if YOU really never wanted to fix all those bad things, you wouldn't have noticed them in the first place.
But since you had been noticing them, please keep it up.
It means that you really wanted to fix them.
Please keep noticing all those faults, and keep saying it very loud and clear -- “That you are going to fix them using the rule of law, and by making them to follow the standard methods and practices”.

Dear Mr. Peter-Obi..

You're really different.
And you're actually doing the right thing at the moment.

Please don't stop.
Don't be like them.
Don't join them in their low-character games.
They will beat you at such games.
Be Yourself Sir.
Do Your Best.
It is the voters that you need, and not political allies and their money.

Take it or leave it.

Upright Character happened to be the main reason Peter Obi is getting popular.
Then, he has capacity, capability, and competence..
Then also, he is compassionate and committed to the Nigerian struggle and dreams.
He is very credible.

Buhari got popular in 2015 because of his integrity and upright character.
But then, after character, what else.??
He has no capacity and competence, and then, he has no compassion and commitment to the true Nigerian struggle and dreams.

He doesn't have even a single corruption rumor hanging on his neck.
Not even a RUMOR..

If you have anyone on him, just bring it on.

No one is painting Obi as a saint but he has the credibility, capability and capacity compared to others.

Even a good person would think that doing the right thing is the same thing as “BEING STUPID”.
Thus, a lot of “practical” normal-people will just believe that it is just PRACTICAL to do whatever you can (whether good or bad), but don't get caught (or be without quick source of money to bail yourself), or else you become the scape-goat.

Buhari promised to chase after corrupt Officials.
That was exactly what he did.
But he left the leakages open, and thus corruption never stopped.
The dimensions and methods of the corruption even widened.

Peter Obi is promising to block the leakages.
(Just as you pointed out).
And that is exactly what he will do.
He had done it before when he was Governor in Anambra, so he can always do it again and again.

And no matter the new methods they bring, he will always block them off.

Tinubu is avoiding the topic of CORRUPTION like a plague..
(Same as Atiku)....

Does that mean that there is no more corruption in Nigeria??
Or that, he doesn't (or rather, they don't) have the moral justification to start saying anything about corruption, based on past antecedents, or some hidden future agenda.??

You think I am telling lies, THEN REFRESH OUR MEMORIES...
REMIND US AGAIN HOW TINUBU SAID THAT HE WOULD TACKLE CORRUPTION.

name 5 things Peter obi did better than Tinubu as governor?
1. Road Infrastructure..
Peter-Obi did far many more roads (than Tinubu), which was the most-needed infrastructure at that time, (and still is at the moment).
You can list all Tinubu’s Infrastructural Projects if you like, let's compare.

2. Health.. (the details are there in the open)
3. Education.. (the details are also out there in the open)
......
4. Citizens Participation in Government.
Citizens had several nopportunities to directly interact with Peter-Obi and tell him what to do and what not to do (through audience-participatory radio/tv direct audience-interview programs).
(Tinubu never gave such cherished opportunities to Lagosians.. He only listens to his cronies and allies)

5. Debts.. (Should I talk about this one too??) Anambra was the least indebted state.
6. Savings.. (Should I also talk about this one?)
His frugality was second to none.

7. Blockage of Financial Leakages.
He blocked off leakages both in the various offices of civil servants, and those of public servants, and even Government appointees..
There were no excesses, neither were there people spending above their means, or trying to intimidate people with untold wealth.

Can you say that about Tinubu?
He practically institutionalized poverty in Lagos State.
Both Civil Servants and Public Servants are either lazy, or are begging, or are toutish, or are looking for endless gratifications, some are even fraudulent, some others even bring in combinations of these vices.
(They call it being street-wise..)

8. Wealth-Creaton and wealth distribution and redistribution..
During the time of Peter-Obi, the GDP-PER-CAPITA of Anambra State Was higher than what The GDP-PER-CAPITA of Lagos was under Tinubu.. Ok. Even the Growth in the GDP-PER-CAPITA of both states when compared, The Anambra Growth was remarkable..
Tinubu taxed Lagosians to an almost bleeding-point.
Taxes and State IGR are not the true measures of the wealth and well-being of the people in any state..
IT IS THE GDP-PER-CAPITA OF THE STATE..
(If the statistics are well gathered, then, the MODAL GDP-PER-CAPITA is the best average, and not the MEAN GDP-PER-CAPITA)

NOW YOUR TURN.....
