After manufacturing fictitious numbers for PDP during the past Presidential election that GEJ would have ordinarily won they are now realizing that PDP is a no-no.
I wish them Luck.

I know this so called merger can never see the light of the day cos ACN has come to stay it isnt just a single election party it is the one party that has the potentials of becoming the ruling party so it will not just merge with APGA so the SE can use it as a base for 2015 presidency. If the SE really want the presidency,I believe the ACN will want credible pple to be on board from the SE not the Charlatans being bandied about in this report.Besides who trusts in the Sun these days?

You should not abandon PDP. You currently have voice representation in PDP. Why would you want to dump that?

I say remain in PDP but float APGA as a mainstream contender. Whichever way it ends, you have presence; it mat not be what you want, but you have a tangible power that you can use smartly to steadily and enduringly use to advantage and eliminate rivals and emerge as the top dawg!

Did you not read what Obj said about House of Reps position few days ago?  Go and re-read and analyze his intent. The man is not silly, he is mischievious! I hope his mischief pays out in good favor.

Ordinary, I dont normally agree with you. But I will make exception this time. You are spot on.

This is not the time to abandon PDP. Why would SE want to start afresh. SE dont have one voice in PDP, they have multiples.
The SGF, Deputy Senate President, Deputy Speaker (and a closet Igbo President in GEJ)

Other voices are Amaechi, Okonjo, Barth, Chime, etc who could portray the SE in better light.

2015 PDP's Presidential Candidate Slot is SE Zone to lose, I wouldn't suggest going down without a fight.

Unless presented with superior argument, I agree SE could and should use the machinery of PDP to contest the 2015 general election. SE Politicians should not simply walk away from PDP gold mine, 'three feet' away from gold!

gullible nigerians as usuall will belive dis poo as if they vnt heard this story b4? What hpnd to acn and cpc merger tlk? Dint apga adopted a pdp presidential candidate as their too? Dint acn abandoned their own and gave pdp a block vote 4d presidential election? Im so sure dat most of u here suffers frm memory loss. Nigerian Politicians r all d same irrespective of party and can decamp and recamp at will, wat we nid is a revolution to get rid of these rougues and nt entertaining reclycled stories frm some politically sponsored faceless bunch proposing poo.

I don't like the idea of the Igbos merging with the Yorubas (ACN). The Igbos should learn from the past, they are capable of mobilizing themselves and forming a party with great influence. If the Yorubas can do it, why can't the Igbos do it. If the Igbos can take the business base of Nigeria, why can't they take the economic base of Nigeria. They are almost there. They should not rely on ant tribal group to get to the top.

All this talk talk, decamp, recamp, merger and acquisition will amount to nothing as long as the same politicians are involve. Nigerians will remain deprive of their God-given wealth cos these politician gives no poo about your suffering.

If Igbo people like do all of the above, it will not stop the suffering in the south-east as long as we have the same set of thieves in charge of our affairs.

Pls stop tribal sentiment, all these politicians are the-same, no ethnic or religion sentiments when these thieves are in meeting, their concern is them pockets, take it or leave it. angry

Until the we kill and finish them, they are ready and stratigicing on how to finish us all, its a battle for survival, we poor Nigerians or the rulling thieves. angry

There may be more to this than 2015. With the worrisome rumblings in the land, it has become expedient for like-minded people/groups to start talking/meeting, using 2015 as a red herring. undecided

The Igbo state can get anything it desire in Nigeria if only they can work / act as team without having saboteurs. PDP platform for president is not impossible if the Igbo really want president since each individaul has a price. The question is are Igbos ready to pay the price of each person (ALL) that counts in PDP? Knowing very well that "there's always a price tag"

Taking an indepth view of recent event in Nigeria, & the chronicles of past, which one is better?

A. Igbo president 2015?

or

B. Secede and run an Igbo state?

So gradually ACN is taking over.

Anyway,i have said this before that GEJ is the last hope for PDP. We voted for Jonathan and not PDP so the only way PDP can still be relevant is for GEJ to wake up fast cos 4 yrs is just around the corner else, we may see PDP going into total extintion.

If Igbos are serious about this thing, why not just kill OBJ and get it over with? Since Igbo believe OBJ is the Igbo nemesis. That's much easier than this confusion of cross carpeting and patch patch mergers.

The greatest treat to the Ibo nation is the Ibo man himself, lack of political ideology and quest for money, check out the list of politicians the group intend to meet and you will see that it is a union that will yield no fruit, strange bed fellows and it is the same old story. I pray for the Ibo nation and for God's sake merging with ACN or any other party does not guarantee 2015, its time for the leaders to think outside the box. Good luck.

Ndigbo Lagos? Who the hell are Ndigbo Lagos?  Igbos should not be deceived by this smoke screen. This is clearly a ploy by we know who to create a form of disunity in the Igbo circle, so as to ensure that we do not present a single candidate once again. Hence giving their candidate a better chance of winning. There is absolutely no need for this union,  DO NOT BE DECEIVED ! This isn't for our best interest.

of course its suicidal for ACN to accept such proposal from APGA.we yorubas remember clearly that the only reason great Awo lost to shagari in 79' was because of the last minute backstab by "zik of wherever".somehow history has chosen to retain the memories of zik that are favourable.

As for this latest gist, its APGA who is proposing.according to Lai Mohammed,ACN has not been briefed of such developments.if they decide to do so,i leave the response to the party chieftains to decide.

calm down, ACN won't accept this merger. ACN is focused on the NC right now, not the SE. Remember there's guber election in Kogi in March 2012 and ACN's Alhaji Abubakar Audu is getting ready for battle and has a very good chance while PDP kogi is still trying to stop the quarrel among its aspirants . ACN will get a 7th state!
