That text is spurious, and is being disputed by reputable scholars and textual critics
Nothing like that happened
A lot of myths interwovened into the Torah

You don’t need to be a “reputable scholar” or “textual critic” to trash the tall tales.
A Greek shows up and tells you about the Greek pantheon. You don’t need scholars or textual critics to dismiss them as tall tales.
A Yoruba shows up and regales you with tales of Olorun and the orishas. You don’t need scholars or textual critics to dismiss them as tall tales.
A Syrian shows up and regales you with tales about Sumeria and Assyria with all their gods s’ actions. You don’t need scholars or textual critics to dismiss them as tall tales.
A Hebrew shows up and regales you with tales about his psycho god and the magic space tower. You don’t need scholars or textual critics to dismiss them as tall tales.

If Adam and Eve (first human couple) spoke one language then it's logical to conclude that their descendants were speaking the same language! smiley

He's just slamming his head on a wall without any gain. In Islam our belief is that Adam and Eve were the first human couple so they must have spoken to each other and certainly it's the same language. So if they're the ancestors of all mankind definitely there was a time that everyone on this planet spoke the same language.
After this response he stopped responding to me:

Haa!

May he thought they spoke Arabic!

The Bible is 100% real life events but if you're not convinced it's OK God's people are making the best use of the documents today! Isaiah 2:2-4 smiley

In Islam we weren't taught that that's why most discussions often lead to violence.
No Muslim can respectfully, politely, humbly and joyously prove his faith because even the book (Qu'ran) has caused a lot of disparities among them. So all what a Muslim wants to impose on his neighbour is Arabian traditions but as for sound reasoning they're lacking! undecided

McMickie said that is untrue and absolutely absurd. The Tower in Dilmum kept all the records going back to the eon of the Dual Headed Lugalbanda and the Bible is questionable.

Actually, one thing in the Bible is true. Yesterday I threw my staff on the ground and it became a python. Now I’m carrying a sack with a snake in it like Jake Roberts.

They claim the scriptures we have now are corrupted and manipulated. The question are how,who did and why, when? I have read the Quran in parts not all. The writ is disjointed, unstructured, unorganized.

The greatest problem they have is quoting the scriptures out of context. The Arabs quoted Jesus at Matthew 21:43
But if God rejected the nation of Israel for not accepting Jesus as God's Son how will the same God approve Islam that says God doesn't have a Son? smiley

That is laughable. Mohammed himself did not understand the concept of Christianity. So are his followers today.

It's Jesus Christ that said the God of Abraham has condemned the nation of Israel for just one reason:
Because the nation rejected Jesus as God's only begotten Son!

So if Muhammad has agreed that Jesus is God's Son everyone claiming Abrahamic faith would have been Muslims today. But it's the same thing the religious leaders in Israel did that he himself did! smiley

In the history of the northern Nigeria, there was a time Othman Dan Fodio was fighting jihad on fellow Muslim kingdoms, imposing rulers(Caliph) on them. He like Mohammed didn't bring any righteous religion but to be overlord over people. The same script is being acted out today in Al Muslim world.

That's understandable, Muslims believe their God can't answer their prayers if the political affairs of their community is not in the hands of Muslims. So they believe everyone in public offices should be (praying) Muslims before their God can support such a society.
But that's apart what really matters is claiming God has chosen their country after rejecting Israel for not accepting Jesus as God's only begotten Son whereas they're also against the same idea! embarassed
