Nuclear Energy for power generation that is for electricity produces zero-carbon emissions. In fact, it is the cleanest energy apart from the radiative waste among the various sources of energy. Research is on going to develop the technology to manage nuclear waste effectively. Existing nuclear power plants are working on nuclear fission where heavy atoms are splitted to create energy. It is reliable and sustainable. The recent research breakthrough in Nuclear fusion by the researchers at the National Ignition Facility at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in California where they attained net energy gain by shooting lasers at hydrogen atoms and the energy crisis in Europe, professionals with expertise in Nuclear Energy, Nuclear Physics and Nuclear Engineering will be sorted for in the future. France, China, Japan and other European countries are considering building more Nuclear power plants and upgrading existing ones. They have started reviewing existing laws that limit Nuclear development. Nuclear Fusion involves smushing two atoms (often two hydrogen atoms) together to create a new element (often helium), in the same way that stars creates energy. In that process, the two hydrogen atoms lose a small amount of mass, which is converted to energy according to Einstein’s famous equation, E=mc².

Due to the energy crisis and global warming caused by fossil fuels, Nuclear Energy for power generation is a sustainable and clean energy. The world is pursuing zero-carbon emission sources of energy, Nuclear Energy will play a key role in limiting global temperature below 1.5°C when properly harness. Most countries are now turning into nuclear energy for power generation. Therefore, the career prospect will be highly promising in the future.

Nuclear energy has advantages over solar and wind energy such as sustainability and reliability. When there is no sun shine and wind blow, solar panels and wind turbines can't generate much energy to power your homes, machines and other appliances. During this period, solar panels and wind turbines become inefficient. Nuclear power can stand all weather conditions.
