Sometimes I wonder, will Nigeria ever hit the milestone where they actually launch a space satellite and coordinate space operations with other countries?
I am aware we have a Defence Space Agency but is it being more than just an office? Do we have ANY Nigerian who has traveled to space or Nigerian Space Personnel who shuttle earth and space for operations.
In your opinion/experience, how close is Nigeria to space satellites operations?

question why romance section?

Anyway my thoughts.
Nigeria is very far from any space operations right now, reason being there is very little interest in space among the general public and I'm not aware of any ongoing public or private funded research into space flight, or space technology.

I do remember Nigeria owning 1 or 2 satellites, but if remember correctly they are currently dead

Another thing is even if Nigeria were to have space shuttles we can't really lunch them within our own borders I think. At least not without violating the airspace of our neighbouring countries to the east or endangering them in the event of a crash.
Reason being rockets are lunched eastwards, so that the westward rotation of the earth shortens the time and fuel required to escape the atmosphere.
We are just geographically disadvantaged in this regard. So an agreement with a country like Kenya will have to be made, so we can lunch off of their shores.

You'll have to excuse my scifi filled brain here, but another thing I've thought about is how a lot of African countries will be left even further behind if astroid space mining becomes viable, a lot of minerals worth more than the combined total of all the money on earth is yet to be exploited, aswell as the advantages of manufacturing in micro and low gravity.
Don't get me started on how much Deuterium there is on the moon's surface that these developed countries will have their eyes on with more breakthroughs in nuclear fusion tech.
