Help Desperately Needed On My Sienna Startup Problem by tete7000(m): 5:31am On Jan 31, 2023
Good morning house, please I need an help here. My sienna overheated while travelling and the top gasket got burnt. I got my mechanic to tow it back to his base and started working on it. He ground the top, change the rings, and replaced the top gasket. Now he coupled everything together but the car won't start. He has been on it for two days and sought help from another mechanic, yet no result. He said he has checked the timing chain and he is sure everything is set but couldn't ascertain what could be the problem. He said the plugs fire and the nozzles discharge fuel.
Please is there anyone in here who has had similar experience and can help. Help will be really appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Carry out a compression test, it could tell u if the timing is off,or u are having a pressure leak

Buy another engine. Once your engine overheats. That's the end. You will keep repairing upon repairing. Buy another tokunbo engine highest oil seal change if u get luck for ladipo.. sell your engine and buy tokunbo

Why did he change the rings? Was the damage that bad? If the damage was bad enough to affect the rings, then it's most likely you've spun your bearings, sleeves compromised, and possibly damaged your valves.
Run a wet and dry compression test on the engine to know if you have compression at all.
Also, he needs to go over the timing again.

I was told the heating was bad and get some affected some rings. I will pass this message to the mechanic.

Severe overheating damages a whole lot. Put into consideration your igntion coils as overheating kills them too. Good luck on your quest

I suppose it's a 2GR engine as you mentioned timing chain in your previous message.
Your engine has aluminum blocks. You should run a compression test 1st before attempting any other repairs.
