Anything to truncate the activities of Kidnappers and Fulani Herdsmen is a welcome development. They should learn how to do transfer.

Too much cash in circulation is our problem.

Emefiele is probably the most incompetent CBN governor since the return to democracy in 1999. That's the only reason the equally incompetent Buhari by any earthly standard gave him a second term.
No. He's actually doing well.

So long it will, in some people's wisdom, raise agitation against APC, and Tinubu in particular, at the polls, the scarcity of naira notes is good and accepted.

How is too much cash in circulation the problem of Nigeria?

Are these Kidnappers and Fulani Herdsmen ghosts? Why has the govt not been able to arrest the one in zamfara that was collecting chieftaincy title?

How does naira redesign truncate Fulani herdsmen?

It is expected.

Naira redesign will adversely affect transactions in the agriculture sector because this sector is heavily dependent on cash. Due to the scarcity of the new banknotes, many farmers will have insufficient cash to purchase seeds, fertilizers and pesticides needed for the plantation of crops. The shortage of cash might lead to plunging in demand which in turn led to a crash in the prices of crops and animals . Farmers will be unable to recover even the costs of transportation from their farms to the market from the low prices offered.

Fortunately, the farming season is yet to take off. Save a few places that practice dry season farming.

not the redesign but the new withdrawal policies that came with it. How will people be carrying 5 to 100 Million Cash to Kidnappers and you still don’t understand it’s a major problem?

will scarcity of naira bring down inflation?

Money should be scarce.

But not insufficient with relations to demand.

Naira is not scarce. It is insufficient. Very soon, we will have another economic crisis on our heads.

It would be from inflation to DEFLATION.

Go and sit-down... What do you know about economy. There's a phase or stage for everything. You can't introduce a cashless policy at a go when the system not fully ready

But I don't remember anybody being forced to embrace ATM card all this while. The acceptance was natural and not foisted down people's throats. Those who want to conduct cashless banking should do so. Those who don't or who don't feel comfortable with it yet shouldn't be forced into it. As people see the need for cashless banking, they will naturally key into it
