Yes, the headline is not misleading. I escorted a neighbor to Gastab petrol station at my area in Ibadan this evening to buy petrol. We were surprised, as it's being sold for #195. The manager told us that they were directed to change it to #195 from #270 per litre.

The thing is some stations still sell between #190 to #200 with unending queues while majority sell between #330 to #360.

Maybe you visited the former.

It's still sold at ₦450 @ fuel stations per litre in my area up till date

This is what I found while searching online for what could have happened. It was in the dailies of yesterday.

Oil marketers said the agreement was reached at a meeting in Abuja on Tuesday, as participants resolved that beginning from Monday, February 6, 2023, the pump price of petrol should not exceed N195/litre, a development which dealers, particularly independent marketers, described as tough due to the high ex-depot price of the commodity.
