Hello everyone,
Here are two methods of cooking Afang soup. Which method do you use more?

FRYING METHOD
For This method, i squeezed the water leaf before frying in palm oil.

INGREDIENTS
Afang leaf
Waterleaf
Palm oil
Crayfish
Seasoning and salt
Pepper
Onions
You can use any protein if choice to prepare the stock

DIRECT METHOD
For this method, i did not squeeze or fry the waterleaf.

Afang soup is definitely1 of the best soup in the country, I will go for either of the methods regardless. Gosh I missed it, I missed Akwa ibom. Akwa Ibom Ayaya

The direct method is the correct method. There is no two ways to afang for me. Also, onions has no place in afang soup. smiley

Onions is optional, but i like using little onions when cooking soup cos sometimes you might not be lucky to get good oil.

Good thinking! You can always ask the afang seller for a plug of good oil. They know themselves.

That’s the case for most of these-our soups, to be fair. No crayfish, no taste.
