The “debate” between materialism and idealism was solved long ago by Ammonius Saccas when he blended the views of Plato and Aristotle to form Neoplatonism.
Giordano Bruno already provided the philosophical considerations of Copernicus’ Heliocentric model that revolutionized Science at the time. Marking once again the connection between the material and immaterial. Leading to his view that Aristotle was wrong and that the Universe was not finite. It was infinite! A view, Cosmic pluralism, among others, that got him burned at the Stake by the Ruling Class of his generation. (An added note here is that Aristarchus of Samos, the Pythagorean, already knew the Earth revolves around the Sun, and if he knew them the other Pythagoreans knew as well, including Pythagoras himself!, allegedly)
Leibniz already proved the relationship between Mechanics and Metaphysics in his many works. I posted a literal journal entry he wrote detailing how he came upon it while he was still a teenager.
Von Humboldt already proved how the continuing development of the sciences increases our complexity of the Intellect. Providing, once again, the link between the two schools.
Marx developed dialectical materialism at the seat of Hegel. Just a few years before Alexandre Dumas wrote the Three Musketeers, with the all important “One for all, All for one” idea that sounded eerily similar to the idea of a Round Table in the Arthurian tales. An idea that sounds kinda similar to communism. An idea that Plato said Angels, or higher beings, operated under. That is just myths, though. Angels aren’t real. Only what is solid, tangible, has mass, what can be shown to be both valid and reliable after being tested in similar conditions by peers in your profession. You know. That which is underlaid by the interaction of the Higgs field of energy. That which is measured by spin. Don’t we exist in a 4-Dimensional (Three of Space, 1 of time) framework based on Minkowski’s spacetime, which he derived from his study in differential geometry? Isn’t that how Einstein came upon the theory of general relativity, through his learning at the seat of Minkowski? Is Science now having trouble reconciling quantum mechanics, the study of universal interactions at subatomic levels, with General relativity which brought about our understanding of gravity, the existence of black holes, the properties of light, and the like? Hegel, whose entire philosophy was just a modern version of Heraclitus, the father of the Dialectics, and who also was weirdly obscure and difficult to understand. Hegel went so far as to say that no part of his system was divorced from the thought of Heraclitus. How could Hegel have known? Heraclitus only ever wrote one book that he submitted to the Temple of Artemis titled, ‘On Nature’ and even then we only have surviving fragments. Why do I keep running my mouth like I know shit? Even in todays age, leading Physicists are embracing the blend between the idealism of Plato with quantum mechanics. It won’t be long until the work of Born, Heisenberg, Planck, Einstein and other modern thinkers vindicate the link between what we describe as matter and incorrectly identify as mind is brought to a cohesive whole. I wonder if there are those who have already done it and such valuable information has already been communicated. Naw, couldn’t be.
Leibniz asked a question that immediately alerts any honest thinker when he said “Why is there something rather than nothing?” This is a question posed by the Pre-Socratics! This is a definitive peering into the arche, the fundamental stuff of existence. They came upon the question honestly. Not already having a preconceived notion and then trying to corroborate findings and experiments to denote a “link” to said theory. He did not, as Thomas Kuhn rightfully understood, work within the dominant paradigm and seek to make sure his findings could be used by the Ruling Class to further their agenda like one Newton. Remember that Newton died essentially with the academic world as well as the ruling class, slobbing on his virgin dick. Yet his notation for calculus was clumsy, mystical, like a drunk man did that shit. Leibniz’s shit was clean. It’s his notation that we use. Leibniz, the mathematician, along with Alan Turing and Tim-Berners Lee, form a triumvirate of the modern world with computers, binary, and the internet being so widely dispersed in technologies. Although, quantum computing allows us to track a superposition of states in which it isn’t just a 1 or 0 but rather both which gives rise to an even more complex computational system in our technologies. Humanity will eventually be able to do things that would be considered god-like. From further sequencing of the Genome, to exploration and mastery of cymatics in different fields—linking once thought disparate subjects—to crafting literal Eden’s on Earth, to space travel, to using more with less like Fuller predicted. A full range of discoveries will be open to humanity when they come to the same insight of one Pythagoras 2500 years ago that All is Number. Number rules the Universe. That it is Number that generates both Gods and Men. I really need to seek help, therapy even, I must be suffering from some form of dementia, definitely the Dunning Kruger effect. Good thing I’m not in a position of importance then I’d most certainly be suffering from the Peter Principle. I’m not a mathematician, what in the world would make me think I was or even had the capacity to be that? I am, and forever will be, a Nobody. It’s never about The Who, but the What. It’s about understanding the information and internalizing it so that it can become
Knowledge. And then using it to better yourself and others so that it becomes Wisdom. And then no matter what you do or who you are you will always be a reflection of timeless and immutable knowledge that guides your actions and thought processes so you can navigate any space you find yourself in. You literally can do anything you want. Only imagination limits what you can or can’t do. Stop asking questions people already answered. Get to finding those answers within yourself and solving your own inner equations. After all, the infinite possibilities of sinusoids and their interactions are within you as well. For the doubters, It’s not cute being ignorant AND loud. Shut the Bleep up and learn or keep making the same dumb ass mistakes.
