WHY ISN'T THE PRESS RELEASING THE NAME OF THE BANK AND THE ARRESTED BANKER? WHY PROTECTING IDENTITY OF CRIMINALS? THE PUBLIC IS ENTITLED TO THESE INFORMATION TO MAKE INFORMED DECISION TO MOVE THEIR MONIES FROM BANKS WITH CRIMINAL RECORDS. THIS IS PEOPLE'S HARD EARNED MONEY FOR GOD'S SAKE. I TIRE FOR THIS OUR COUNTRY 😑

Hey my peeps,

This is the problem right here. The commercials banks sabotaging the CBN efforts. The hard core bank criminals together with the politicians are killing our country economically.

We need to take our frustration to where it belongs- We need to call out the corrupt practices in the commercial banks.

This is a great policy intended to help Nigeria in a long run they want to kill. They're redirecting the money given by CBN to distribute to citizens to the politicians and suffering the people.

This is Nigerians subjecting fellow Nigerians and their families to incredible untold hardship because of their selfishness and greed.

Corruption is swallowing Nigeria πŸ‡³πŸ‡¬ People are out of control acting with impunity. The next administration must tackle Corruption for this country to moveforward.

CBN needs a court warrant to ransack all the commercial banks vault and have accountants audit their books 😑

God bless you all my lovely people πŸ™ ❀️

The problem is not really the bankers but poor supplly from CBN. In two weeks you only gave them 29 million. So lets do some calculation here.

that money can only pay 1450 people if they all withdraw 20k max each. Now if one person brings out more than 1 ATM, the number of people reduces. So how many people are 1450 people that they are making 4M, 7M or 29M look like they will remove all the queues?

The truth is that CBN failed.

Yes, I agree but more of cashing into people's pain. How can someone hoard the money given by CBN to redistribute to public. They're hoarding them for politicians at the detriment of Nigerian people.

This is evil 😈 and cruelty 😑

No, sorry, 29M is the daily funding for the ATM. He was just caught that day. In another location, angry people smashed the ATM and found bags of the new currency that the bank claimed they didn't have. So, what's your point, it's okay for the bankers to outsource money for the general public to their politicians friends?

Accept the reality of humongous corruption in Nigeria πŸ‡³πŸ‡¬

I beg to disagree with you. If a bank branch can have 29million naira. That can pay 580 people if they withdraw 50,000 naira each. I'm sure at least 50% of the money will go back to banks before the day runs out, assuming each of the Nigeria banks branches pay 580 customers daily, we won't be complaining of cash scarcity, because the money will circulate, and let me tell you, some people don't even need up to 20000 naira cash.

The policy is good but the problem is the currupt system, most bank staff didn't get to the posts on merits but through helps from the so called politicians and big men, now tell me if your benefactor asks you for a favour, won't you do it?

Thanks for your engagement. However, my own analysis of behavioral attitude tells me that very few of those 580 people will want to pay that money back into the bank, not after the stress they had to go through getting it.

That money will take another 4 weeks to come back to the bank.

You are right nobody will want to deposit the money back into bank after going through a lot of stress, but the stress wouldn't have been there initially if commercial banks didn't hoard the cash or sell it to their cronies. Now it has gotten out of hands.

Well, that is the natural order of things. Those with influence will naturally get it first. Even the CBN would have also sold or given it to their cronies. You want to tell me if you had a family member working with CBN, even if na ordinary gateman that you will not also have access?

However, because your cash that you need to swap is limited, if there was enough supply, after those cronies' needs have been met, then the rest of us would have gotten ours if the supply end was gotten right.

The politicians we all seem to make mouth about do not have unlimited cash to swap. At some point the old cash in their hand will also be finished

Arise cannot lie that bank manager was arrested by efcc for HOARDING 29M of people's money. The story is not made up, it's real, face it.

However, i have issues with them not releasing detailed information of the crooked banker and bank to the public who may have their monies in that bank.
