Cashless Policy Is Eroding Privacy by Nobody: 6:32pm On Feb 08, 2023 |
This cashless policy is eroding privacy... Before, when cash was popular, we all had all our privacy intact, now everyone knows your name and also what you bought, infact the government and the banks now know what you buying and selling, they know every financial data about you. Not to talk about banks, even, the street seller know your name because you are using your card to pay for something or doing transfer. Financial Privacy is dead, we are all exposed. Fact is payment by cash gives you some kind of privacy, now that privacy is no more there because of cashless policy |

We are not ready for a cashless economy |

lexylaw40: I dont think we will be ready anytime soon. There should be cash for those that want it, even though cashless policy can help save time. Privacy is very important and it seems like government is taking away our right to privacy through these policy |

But you accept the policy anytime you travel abroad na. Anyways, it's inevitable and you all will comply besides, get ready for Neuralink and co even your thoughts will no longer be private |

RZArecta: The thing is when abroad, you cant do transfer because you dont have local bank account. You can use your dollar mastercard on the atm and withdraw local currency, so in a way you can still use cash to pay for transactions. Unlike what is happening here in Nigeria, since most people dont have cash, they do transfer, now the local seller now know your name, the bank know what you are paying for, the government also know, it is just pathetic |

Parachoko: Cashless is for ease, butyou lose your privacy when cashless policy is enforced. Maybe the government wants to start a credit based society where credit score will be a thing and banks will be able to give out credit to those who deserve it but even that, the way it is done, it seems government want full control of everything you are doing, literally they want to interfere with your private life. |
