I'm about to renew my International Passport too. I have completed the online registration,what remains for me to do is make payment N25k online and I will be given a schedule date to come for recapturing and documents validation.
The above process is not stressful but your passport will take longer time to be ready,compared to those who go through NIS staff.

Simply go to this link
https://passport.immigration.gov.ng

Fill in the form and choose passport type etc.
You'll be asking to choose a capturing date from the available dates.

Make payments online. You'll be given reference codes and a receipt and told to come on your choose date to your choosen capturing state/area.
