Two-time Grammy-winning artist Jason Crabb confessed to Joni Lamb in the talk show, "Joni Table Talk," his days before coming to the Lord and the precious moment when he surrendered and re-dedicated to Jesus.

Jason Crabb

Born as a pastor’s kid, Jason grew up pressured and cautious. So when he turned 14 and his parents got divorced, he confessed that he took the sad event as an excuse to be rebellious.

He then got introduced to drugs and alcohol. But there was one time that he believed was God’s preservation for him. The musician recalled sitting on a tree stump, doing drugs and getting high. When suddenly, he saw something came out from the ground. "All of a sudden, it was like these things started coming out of the ground at me,” he said. “As soon as they got close, I fell off that tree stump and was sober just like that." He then stopped doing drugs.

That experience taught him that "spiritual connection with drugs is real. "When you do those things, it's a gate that you open up to a spirit world that wants control of your life."

"It will absolutely suck the life out of you," he added.

Also, Jason shared his "the moment" with Jesus, where he totally surrendered to His Lordship. "I will never forget," he said. He got to listen to the song, "Had It Not Been," by Michael English.

The lyrics pierced through his heart and made him fall before the King of kings.

Since then, Jason's life has never been the same again.

Jesus loves you

"If you've seen the religious side of Jesus, I'm sorry. But I want you to see the gracious, merciful, the wonderful Jesus that I fell in love with," he shared.

Before the end of their conversation, Jason gave the viewers an opportunity to know God and led them into a prayer.

"Jesus loves you," he said. “I don’t care how far you've gone. I don't care how bad you think it is." He continued, "I don't care how much you've let people down [and] … how much you've let yourself down."

"Jesus loves you," he reiterated. "He would rather give his life than to live without you, and He did."

Today, the singer released a new song, "Good Morning Mercy," telling about God’s faithfulness to His children.
