It's now obvious even to the blind that the naira redesign has run into stormy waters.

Let me just talk about only one aspect of it. Some people supported the idea because they thought it was going to frustrate vote buying.

Let's be honest with ourselves, with the current cash wahala, has it not become easier to sell or buy votes now?

I wanted to cook a lot of soup about three says ago. I didn't have enough cash and one woman at Mile 4 told me to bring the money (only N300 o) later.

Where do you think would have the longer queues on the day of the presidential election?

Why would a hungry person go to queue up at a polling station to vote when he can go and queue up at an ATM location in his neighbourhood?

If you see an ATM that's not crowded on your way to the polling unit to vote, won't you suspend voting and go to use the ATM just to have some cash?

Don't you think people would leave the ATM queues (they now collect about 5k from ATMs after queuing up for about 8hours) and join the polling unit queues if they hear that some people are giving out food items or 1 or 2k at the polling units, even if it's a lie?
