I would love to make it short...
A neighbour drew my attention to a cummunity land which was put up for sale. Knowing how important landed property is, i quickly made payment for 4plots of land in the presence of the cummunty heads...

I paid whatsoever i was asked to pay, signed the necessary document (power of attorney), the community heads also penned they signatures as well.
Time came for me to develop the land after 3months or so, i was told to pay development fee to the youth's as tradition demand...i did just that.

Time for me to fence my land i was told there was a problem, infact that the money i transferred to the youth leaders account caused a huge issue due to how it was embezzled leading to the death of one cummunty youth...
I tried contacting those that sold the land for me but they where not reachable... i took a trip to whr i bought the land to see things for myself and i discovered that the people i bought the land from (the community representatives) where on the run from thier community. Another set of representatives whr formed and i was told that the ones i bought the land from couldn't give account of all the cummunty land sold, so in that case they consider no land to be sold... meaning they can resale my 4plots of land to new bidders..

MY PEOPLE AM IN SEVERE PAINS RIGHT NOW... your advise is welcomed please.

Mods help me move it to front page so as to get more contributions before the next meeting by the village representatives... thanks

Oga sorry about that, this is one of the reasons why I always regret being a Nigerian. The wickedness in the land is just too much, most Nigerians are fraudulent in nature. Both old and young.

Do you have your receipts and supporting documents? If you don't, your name is sorry.

If you do, you have no business with the infighting among them. Insofar as the sellers were authorised to sell the land, whether they gave the rest money or not, is none of your business.

What i think i found out is that the newly formed cummunty leaders r angry that they weren't carried along by they predecessors when all the land whr sold... they felt cheated...

You're safe then. They're probably probing you to see how you react. Don't show fear. Don't explain yourself. Make it clear you have paid, their infighting is none of your business, and they must not sell your land.

My brr land issue isn't something yo should just go engage yourself in cuz you've got the money..! Had it been you asked for an elder consent before goin, he wouldn't let yo buy the land..! A community land belongs to no specific person..!

That's same way they'll keep ripping people off their hard earned..! Yo ain't the first person and yo ain't gonn' be the last..!

Pls next time ask before doin some curtain things Biko..!

This is where your major problem is, they've already denied those guys so they have concluded no business was transacted. You need divine intervention in this case because it would be very difficult to fight a whole community. There's a local saying that goes thus "dog nor dey bite im pikin reach bone"

Those guys that sold the land to you will still return to the community after everything has died down and plead for forgiveness......Like I said earlier you need divine intervention.

They just want you to add more money, sometimes they are even working with the so-called "community leaders" that absconded. Try and renegotiate, they want more money, or you go to court (last option).

who have the land gan gan gan, the land that was sold to you looks like it was community property, and you had to settle youths/touts too, you must have used a fake lawyer wey no know work cos there are loopholes here,
anyway since you have a (fake) lawyer, why not go legal

anyway, let's hear from other people first
