The tin is that I registered in a bootcamp, and they have a curriculum u must have heard about the bootcamp sir, it's the alx software engineering school.

So we started out with the use of editors like Emacs and Vim, then we moved to git (GitHub), we did Linux(the use of shell and she'll scripting, how to use the command line and all, then we moved to C-programming and now we re on python.
Later in the study we would still do html and CSS, JavaScript and some other stuff like that...


Lemme find the curriculum and upload for u to understand better what I am saying sir.

Looking intently at this software engineering bootcamp from ALX, I must confess that this is the best curriculum I have ever seen from a coding bootcamp.

The last time I saw something like this was when I was studying with Standford university, University of the people and MIT.

This curriculum is the best.

If you can meet up with this program and graduate, even Google employees can hardly Match you 😁.

Am glad to know you guys have C programming in your curriculum. C programming is what will help you to understand how computers work, microprocessors & will be good foundation for you when you want to venture into Artificial intelligence which is hot cake now.

But here's my 2 cent.

1. Focus on one language and be very good. Perhaps Python, JAVASCRIPT, Java or C#.

If I would recommend, most jobs currently are demanding JAVASCRIPT.
I would say you just JAVASCRIPT as your first language and your prime language.

You can easily start building projects using JAVASCRIPT than any other languages to prove you're job ready.
Please get back to me, there is a UK company looking for a software engineer paid Apprenticeship in the UK, I want to get you into .

2. If you follow my advice, start building chrome Extensions, or when you're good, start building APIs using Nodejs.

3. But if you choose Python, venture into Artificial intelligence, it is the most lucrative field in tech now...with the rise of AI tools.

Do you know it's now very easy to be a software engineer using chatGPT and the like of other AI tools.
So what this means is that, you just learn how to build the softwares, chrome Extensions, how to upload and publish your Softwares. Learn how building those software works and then do what am about to say now.

Let's say you want to build for instance a chrome extension, go to ChatGPT, tell it what you ant to build...and it will outputs the whole codes, CSS, HTML , JS etc.

It will spill out everything.

Since you know how chrome Extensions work, you can just go and review the codes , making sure it meets your specifications and then you publish 😁.

You can use the same procedure for an app or website! 😎

So lean how to build first and let AI tke your software engineering career to the next level.

HTL, CSS JAVASCRIPT are the foundations of the web. There are so many jobs now if you know just those three.

You will be studying in a college in England to be specific & be working with the company. The company will finance your studies. Your pay for that apprenticeship while studying is €14,000/yr.

If you're good, you can be retained to work with the company after your program.

Am happy to hear you're studying to be a software engineer. But I have some new ideas perhaps you haven't explored before.

If you want to move abroad, moving to European countries would be better for you. They are both safer, less expensive and sometimes you can get a very very good pay with some tech companies like €200K -€500k.

If am to recommend, consider this countries; Luxembourg, New Zealand, Sweden, Portugal (very easy to travel), Germany (very easy) , Czech republic, Romania, UK, Estonia, Finland & Netherlands.

Canada is lonely and cold.

You can get cheap schools that cost just $50 - $300 per year in those European countries. There is even a school in Czech republic that cost $25 per year and another school in Romania that cost $250 per year.

Now you're still on Nigeria, you can be doing some freelance jobs to be earning you money, which you can be saving that would help you when you relocate abroad.

The best place to get a job quickly and even with VISA sponsorship is on LinkedIn.

But if you want to relocate fast abroad, apply to study SHORT SKILL COURSES, OR VOCATIONAL TRAINING PROGRAMS in any country of your choice.

the thing is that i went to purchase goods as i deal with used goods so i saw it in the container that was offloaded, just the 2 of them so i told the owner i would love to buy one, also the technican there opened it for me and said the hp battery and hard disc was removed but the acer is complete. Sorry for the disturbance .

The Acer CPU is old, and the HP one from what I can see online, is also under powered, if it is to just watch Youtube and do small work Typing and all, I'll say the HP,

but if you are in the Lagos and the price is above 60k, I would advise neither, a lenovo thinkpad is better, cheap and stronger.
