Governors can still have their ways. Have you not heard companies in Kano begging the governor that they have agreed to start collecting the old notes? By the way, if FG can choose not to obey Supreme court, the state governors can do same.

It's not about companies receiving it, which bank they go carry am go??

Even some government agencies can no longer transact with the old notes

You think Emefiele is playing abi

Dey playπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

They are doing nothing for anybody. Asking CBN to release more new notes is sensible but to push for the retention of the old notes to run concurrently with the new notes is the worst form of madness ever imagined. Do you know the level of inflation it will cost?

Let these governors sue the minister of petroleum to explain why fuel is being sold for N450 naira even with subsidy payment. Can't these governors constitute a task force to check hike in fuel prices in their various states?

We need more cash because of high cost of inflation in the country.

Soludo and some other Governor raised alarm last year of CBN printing money to pay monthly allocations. There is more to this than we are meant to understand and the governors are not sincere in their agitation.

Leave them to dey play! Make dem dey play. The Governors are after their personal interests. I know a governor in the NE who has stupendous amount of money locked up in a bunker in his house at Asokoro. I know because I worked for him. Leave these governor/APC sympathizers make dem dey play.

We have one of the most shameless judiciary in the world. No self worth! Controlled by their greed and gluttonous tendencies!
It's very unfortunate. Old self-serving gluttons, masquerading as justices. See the Akpabio, Umahi and especially Lawan cases, those shameless justices basically killed party internal democracy in Nigeria and except legislative additives are made to correct that sham of a judgment, it will stand as a precedent for such cases till the end of time. Technicalities over the substance of a case? Really? Tueh!!

That's tax, it is legal.
You cannot shut a bank down that is obeying CBN directive. Go and deal with CBN.

Those governors are crooks who are trying to rig election with their stacked old notes. I support the policy

What about obeying the Supreme Court?

The FG is who the case was instituted against, not the central bank; thus the CBN has nothing to obey because it was never joined in the suit. Had the governors joined the CBN in the suit, it immediately renders that suit null and void hence the "sense" they thought they had which they used to avoid joining the CBN as respondents to the suit.

Make dem dey play. The supreme court brought itself to disrepute by that judgement. The judges knew they had no jurisdiction over fiscal matters but chose to pacify the governors whom they have become a cabal with. Imagine the courts ordering the FG to immediately turn ₦1 to $1. Is it possible? That's exactly what it did by adjudicating on that case.

Oga so they fooled you? How come they did nothing to end the university strike, fuel scarcity, insecurity and even poverty.
These politicians are not thinking of you.

The policy is a product of the FG. The FG gives directive to CBN to change the currency.

You heard Malami. Emefiele is just being a rogue

Please for those who are still holding on to the old money or looking for where to deposit it asides the central bank, kindly locate Elrufai, gandollar and yeye Bello. cheesy cheesy wink cheesy

Those in Abuja can take it to the Supreme Court premises and give it to the G5 sympathizing CJN to help them deposit/swap. I wish you all.thr best and I come in peace πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

The FG DOES NOT GIVE THE CBN A DIRECTIVE. Go and read the CBN Act. The CBN is supposed to be an "independent body" in the running of things. That Emefiele turned the CBN into a personal wallet of the FG and cronies doesn't make the act non-functional.

Where you went wrong is attributing what they are doing for the benefit of the masses. There has been mass killings, bandits, terrorism, unemployment, poverty and so many vices bedeviling the common people on the street, how many of these governor's did interceede for the people?

Just take for example Tinubu has been silent on this government for seven and half years when all economic indicator nosedived causing pains to the people. Because the policy will affect him in his quest to become the Nigerian president he is shouting everywhere he goes.

You think the shout is for the common people? Your answer is as good as mine. He doesn't shout for the people when 10percent of IGR goes to him through Alfa beta, he did not shout for the people when all issues consigning Lagos State rest on his desk as the Godfather.

Leave these deceitful politicians alone, they aren't serious. My heart only goes to the Nigerian people for this tumultuous times

Not shutting in the sense of it, but just a threat to coerce them to receiving it.
