What's really amusing to me is that as the whiteman takes from Africa, whenever they decide to be a bit fair to we dumb Africans, they compensate us with paper. The whiteman is truly wise in making the African believe that gold, copper, diamond, cobalt, oil or gas and all they have stolen and are still stealing from Africa can be paid for with paper. Equally amusing is the fact that the African political class are no different from the whiteman. Like the whiteman, his vision is also to take and take and take from Africa. This is why pillaging of Africa will never stop. The whiteman may have left, but his errand men are still very much around. I've been itching to ask Peter Obi, the only candidate that seems to care about the people what he would do about this, but I have the inkling that even this may be beyond him. Just two African leaders have dared to stand against the pillaging and stealing from Africans, Patrice Lumumba and Thomas Sankara. They didn't end well. So in the meantime, the rape of Africa must continue.

None...just that the stealing is more widespread among the civilians. The fact is that whether civilian or military, African leaders NEVER serve the interest of Africans or Africa. They serve the whiteman's greed or neo-colonialism.

I agree with you. Perhaps the colonialists out of remorse for the devastation they've caused the continent wanted to give back a little. Unlike the African politicians who feel they've escaped the squalor caused by the exploitation and victimization of Africa. There's no doubt that the little by post-colonial progress made by Africans is traceable to the colonialists, but then, who would steal so much and not put in a little? When it's all said and done, the colonialist may after all be better than native people.

The lesson from that is that the way they sold their children to satisfy the whiteman's greed is still the way they're selling them today. Only God knows the number of Africans that die daily crossing the Sahara or the Mediterranean sea. Could have equally the number sold as slaves to the Americas. The colonialists are no doubt better. At least they're not enslaving their own people the way African chiefs did for mirrors, hats and walking sticks. And the way they do today for offshore accounts filled with the whiteman's paper.

That is what I keep telling people, the Europeans have apologized and also paid compensations for slavery
Statues and symbols of slavery are being destroyed in the west but down here many families and communities that were active during slavery still feel privileged and entitled
Right now the useless leaders because of greed despite seeing how the colonizers run their nations the fools can't replicate such down here instead they send their children over there and they themselves go their for holidays

I don't wish it. I just wish Africans would host a continental conference and ask ourselves a question. That question should be what is wrong with us as a race. Why were other races more circumspect than us? Why could the Japanese who the Europeans met the same time they came to Africa able to see the future that Africans never saw? Why did the Dutch ambassador have to tell his king with regards to Japan that "This is not Africa."
