I use mainly use vanilla javascript / jquery most of the time.

l also use mithril.js occasionally as my frontend framework depending on the project & need for it. But I try to use it as little as possible and mainly use the good old raw javascript.

.
Sometimes it’s not about what you like or what you don’t like. It’s about the job market most of the time.
I don’t know if you are just starting your career as a developer or already established.
I doubt if there’s any professional JavaScript developer that doesn’t use one of React,Vue, Angular, or Svelte as his frontend framework/library.
Same goes for backend technologies.
There’s a reason why companies use them.

Oracle is a multi-billion dollar company, yet the tool I work with everyday was built with just html, css & jquery. And they have an army of professional devs. Use what work best for you & u're comfortable with. Dont get sucked up in the hype, u must not learn & know everything to be successful.

How easy is it for a newbie to break into Oracle today? Especially if you are based here in Nigeria?
JQuery itself is a library like React and the rest. There’s a reason why Oracle choose JQuery over Vanilla JavaScript.
You might have gotten into Oracle many years ago or through internship or something else but I bet you that if an upcoming web developer knows only HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/JQuery he will be the least favoured amongst other Oracle hopefuls.
I don’t even advise newbies to learn “Everything”, because I don’t learn “Everything” out there but you have to know what the job markets demands in terms of skills and acquire it.
Many people are switching from other careers to programming and the bar keeps on rising.
For instance, a lot of frontend positions will require that you have some working knowledge of AWS or any other cloud platforms while some will want you to have a knowledge of the backend stack as an added advantage to your application.
Now, when you get the job as a Frontend developer, chances are that you will not use them in your day to day tasks but who knows.
It’s not easy for a newbie to break into the tech space and land his first job here in Nigeria because there’s a glut of junior developers out there.
This is the reality of today sir.

@worried222 You talk too much, that the problem & one thing I hate with majority of naija developers, all they do is brag & talk. When one small dummy blogger or tiktoker or youtuber is making millions doing stupid things.

Oga go sidon jor & chop complexity...lol

You try but HTML and CSS can do just this with ease
I didn't say it can't but I made use of a framework because there o needed reusable component and test my hand on react using a complete project. If you went through the link you would also find out that I made use of paystack integration. Thanks for engaging

Been a while, I have been working on something which is the building of the sellers page where the orders placed on ARTSY can be seen.
I have also moved on to nextjs, read the introduction and it sounds like it would be a lot of fun using it.what intrigue me most during the Introduction is the rendering, it has 3 rendering methods (client side rendering, static site generation and server side rendering). The client side rendering occur in the users browser that's why you see an empty white page first before the webpage gets painted/constructed.
Will share more as I learn. Will try to update everyday

Next J's is overy hyped. Nothing special...

All those rendering things no too matter...

The Seo part make small sense.

It's just an average frame work.
