The crisis is growing. Truly, if not handled, it will be just a matter of time before it degenerates into a full-blown riot.

This morning, some residents of the Uyo metropolis had a peaceful demonstration at the Uyo branch of CBN.

As expected, the protesters gathered in front of the CBN branch around 10:30 a.m. -11:30 a.m. And they were seen with placards of different write-ups and fresh leaves.

As one would guess, this is related to the current deadline and scarcity of the Naira notes. However, peaceful protest is no longer peaceful. Guns and teargas are been shot. Citizens and protesters are running up and down.
