Most interest us all that state government doesn't have a say in what should be regarded as a "legal tender" of any country. The best they could do is approach the same supreme court for redress.

The rights of what could be regarded as a legal tender is that of president alone.

Collect your old naira notes, in few weeks time Asiwaju will come and the implementation will be updated to ease the pains on the masses. Vote BAT for the survival of the informal sector of our economy.
Obi and Atiku are the real enemy of the masses they supported the evil implementation of this policy. Note them for their pretense .

Before you collect old naira notes with the hope of depositing it in the bank just know that banks won't collect it from you as without the code you generated from CBN website.

So it's one BVN....one code. So u can't use the same BVN to generate code twice.

It will ven take 4 weeks before your money reflects "all things been equal". But with the crowd now it could take 2 months

na only mumu dey give counter order to orders of the president in a system structured the way Nigeria is structured.
It is sad because a leader should lead by example and set examples by his actions but in reality, a presidential order can override the supreme court ruling, (without consequences in a nation like ours where legislators are just idiots who dont know how to do their jobs.)

Their governors won't be there for them when the CBN is ready to deal with them. Smart people.

I do not know the power a governor would have over the president or the CBN on monetary policy. Not even the supreme court!

The governors will use this week to try to give the old notes some form of legitimacy. They will try as much as possible to convince voters from their states that old notes are still legal tender.
Dear masses, dont fall for that trick. They just want to push the money they have kept in their houses into your hands in return for your votes.....dont accept it. If they come, tell them to bring new notes or old 200naira

The governors are playing the last minute game. They want to give the old notes some form of legitimacy because they have to push out the ones they kept in their closets. step 1 of their game is to make the people feel the old notes is still legal tender(that's why all of them are announcing, u can spend it in my state), then step 2 is to start buying people's conscience. At least to buy someone's vote, you will have to offer the person something that has value.

Hmmm! It won't work. You can't give an average Nigeria the old notes and think he/she will be happy with you. No matter how plenty it is.
