I am from the south but i would like to advocate for the ban of alcohol. Since u started drinking alcohol I have gotten into so much trouble; I once drank alcohol my memory went blank and when I woke up I saw myself in a boat. Another time I drank alcohol I woke up in police custody they said I attacked people. Another time I drank alcohol and woke up with injuries all over my face and I couldn't remember how I got it. The worst was when I drank alcohol and woke up and saw designer clothes in my house. Weed doesn't do this to me but alcohol does. Alcohol is more powerful than weed. The list goes on If alcohol could do this to me, wonder what it's doing to others? I am of the motion that alcohol should and must be banned. |

These days I hardly drink alcohol, if I do I make sure I lock my door and tell anybody to hold the keys until whenever I wake up and he has reasons to believe am normal. I am fed up with this. Alcohol adds nothing to humanity, I don't know why it's legal and weed isn't! |

Coldie: So, just because you have trouble with alcohol, you want it banned for everyone? Have you not considered being responsible and banning alcohol for yourself, or is it that you are so helpless that the alcohol refuses to be banned for you by you? Hopefully, you don't drive. budaatum:I drive, to avoid police I stay for like 24hours when it's clear, but for real. If u care about humanity, u would ban it. I blame buhari as a Muslim for not banning it, and I blame capitalism. Because of alcohol Dubai banned me, why would a whole Muslim country be selling alcohol? |

Coldie: I wasn't talking about you drinking and driving, but about you driving at all. For your information, Nigeria is not a "whole Muslim country", and thankfully, Buhari is not stupid enough to impose an alcohol ban on all Nigerians just because his own religion would want it banned. If that was how he reasoned he'd insist all women wear burkas and all men marry multiple wives starting with his very self. budaatum:Am not a Muslim. I am saying this based on other Nigerians. In Nigeria I had security that would tie me up and get me home but since I came to the UK for my studies, it's not been the same. I am not happy that UK is like this, bro u should support alcohol ban, I know why am saying this, one day u would thank me |

Coldie: I am far too intelligent to know that an alcohol ban is pointless and useless since it would not stop you or anyone else from drinking alcohol if they want to. People in Muslim countries where alcohol is banned get on a chopper and fly to drink in neighbouring countries where it is not banned, and alcohol can easily be made from grain to thwart any ban. I don't need to thank you since I am not irresponsible like you are. Be responsible and ban yourself, is what I suggest. In my humble submission.. religion has done more harm to the Nigerian state than alcohol. Most people behind terrorism are clergymen turned fanatics who use religion and verses in their respective holy books to radicalize and weaponize their vulnerable followers. Should we now say religion should be banned in Nigeria? Notice I didn't mention any religion but we know the ones prone to extremism. 3 Likes |

acewines: No, not smoking weed is no reason for advocating for its ban or not, but that's not the case here as the op is advocating for the ban of alcohol because he has a problem with alcohol. It would be rather stupid of you to advocate banning weed as a solution to you having problems when you smoke weed, don't you think? If there is no ban you'd continue having your problem, and when it's banned I'm sure you'd find illegal suppliers as most weed smokers already do. |
