How Akpabio Sold His Rerun Election To Ukarakpa In 2019 - Brother by ogugwa1992: 9:40am On Feb 21, 2023
Senator Godswill Akpabio has been accused of selling his chance to return to the Senate in 2019 to Senator Chris Ekpenyong, after the court had ruled a rerun in his favour.

In a viral online video, his brother - Mr. Ibanga Akpabio, revealed that manipulation of INEC and everything was done for him to win the rerun election ruled by the court, he sold the election to Ukarakpa (Senator Chris Ekpenyong) and boycotted the polls without informing anyone.

"Godswill didn't tell me as his brother, I was there when his Doctor and his SSS man asked me 'why are you not in this meeting and I asked which meeting? He said this one that Ukarakpa is meeting with Akpabio and Father Usungurua at Startun Hotel, Abuja. Godswill made every arrangement for whatever wether he went and said he has handed over, but I'm telling you that Godswill did not tell one person.

"Emman Inyangetor came and said ehn.... Oga had called everyone and Ukarakpa, they went and did everything, meanwhile Ukarakpa was telling me he is handling Emma Inyangetor well That he had settled him, you understand? So, at the end of the day, we were just left in the wilderness, we didn't know anything."

The former State Secretary of PDP, insisted that Senator Godswill failed that 2019 senatorial election woefully.

"Why did he fail? Prince sat here and told him that by the time you left for APC, the people you handed over Local Government Areas didn't go with you, okay you're calling people for example champions that they'll be incharge of Udom Emmanuel and handle everything, then when you left none of those people came with you, how then do you think you'll win, that's exactly what happened".

He therefore queried why Godswill should seek the senatorial district seat again in 2023 after all that transpired.

"Why should Godswill come out to contest for Senate at this point in time, is it for the unity of Annang people or for the unity of Akwa Ibom Northwest that includes the people of Ikono and Ini?
"I saw it on the paper the other day, they wrote "I'm not going to the Senate to become a Senator again he doesn't want to go and answer the name Senator, what do you want to go and answer? If not for the fact that you want to go and help your own home, your wife and children?

"He went for ministry and spent over six hundred billion, but one naira did not get to my house, in that three years over six hundred billion. But what I can always tell you people, if God did not bring him out to give this high jump, the money he would have taken home would have been much, have you heard what I said?"

You people must be very happy, because you see one thing is that there is how someone comes out just to make sure that he suppresses you. You have been a Minister of Niger Delta, you have been a Senate minority leader, you have been a governor, you have been a Commissioner, yet what you should allow to go to your brother, you want to take it.

He pointed out that Godswill will failed again just like in 2019, saying "I was with the results, Godswill failed that election woefully.
