OK. Let me re-frame my question. What salvation message will you have for a dying man who only has 3 minutes to live? undecided
There is no salvation message for a man who has 3 minutes to live, not from Jesus Christ. undecided

What command should we obey before we can be saved?

All!

Jeremiah 7:23

“But this thing commanded I them, saying, Obey my voice, and I will be your God, and ye shall be my people: and walk ye in all the ways that I have commanded you, that it may be well unto you.”

Ezekiel 18:27
But if the wicked will turn from all his sins that he hath committed, and keep all my statutes, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall surely live, he shall not die.

You people are deadset on damning lots of souls to Hellfire, an eternal punishment for souls, in your attempt to win souls for your pastors and mogs, aren't you? undecided

If initial salvation as offered by Jesus Christ — redemption from God's judgment against the House of Israel under the Old Law — was meant those dying, then clearly, Jesus Christ would not have reason to heal people, raising others from the dead back to life. undecided

No one gets saved by opening his mouth to say "Jesus is Lord" , not even if he repeats it all of the days of his life. Same way, no one gets saved by saying prayers from even the day of his birth until the day of his death --- it will never happened. Salvation begins as Jesus Christ taught and continues as He also taught. There is no other way to be saved. undecided

You just allowed that man to die without offering him a safe landing. Do you now see how your professed religion is in vain? undecided

Safe landing in place of eternal damnation assuming it is possible to be born-again in 3 minutes that is? undecided

The thief died before Jesus died on the Cross. The promise was fulfilled between Christ's death and resurrection. Therefore, the thief was born again before he died within a very short period. smiley

A man must qualify for the kingdom of God long before he dies. God shall not be mocked a sinner can never enter His Kingdom. "Be ye holy", is The Law!

The only unspoken words I have for any person who is dying without having never followed Christ is "too bad you should have feared God and Obeyed Him".

I won't even be near him lest I just might voice it out.

Kumuyi has finished this one with delusional thoughts!

So all your default mode about a dying man with a stab in his back is the thief that died beside Jesus shey?

Well if you must know that thief was a Jew who knew so much about God's promises regarding the Christ so when he heard about Jesus of Nazareth preaching, teaching and performing wonders he was doubting whether Jesus could be the real Messiah/Christ/Saviour it was at that point where Jesus was fulfilling another prophecy about the Christ that ignite the faith of this thief:

For that reason I will assign him a portion among the many, And he will apportion the spoil with the mighty, Because he poured out his life even to death And was counted among the transgressors; He carried the sin of many people, And he interceded for the transgressors! Isaiah 53:12

As a Jew this thief recalled this that's why he spoke angrily against his cohort who only want to be released:

“Do you not fear God at all, now that you have received the same judgment? And we rightly so, for we are getting back what we deserve for the things we did; but this man did nothing wrong.” Luke 23:40-41

With that he turned to Jesus and begged for forgiveness of his sin for Jesus to remember and call him back to life so he will right his wrong:

“Jesus, remember me when you get into your Kingdom.” Luke 23:42

Stop being fooled Jesus didn't preach or told the thief what saved him rather the thief is the one who called Jesus' attention.
So if your dying man with a stab never cared for righteousness all his life then nothing you can tell him can save him because he must be the one to make the first move just as that thief not the other way around! undecided

That short conversation with the Lord Jesus on the cross sealed his eternal fate, he became born again. That's how short it takes for one to be born again but if you are saved you wouldn't be able to extend a saving hand to rescue the perishing. smiley

"That He might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word" (Ephesians 5:26).

Figuratively speaking, being born of water means being born again by the Word of God.

"Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever" (1 Peter 1:23).

The Words that Jesus speaks are spirit and life.

"....the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life" (John 6:63).
