WibusJaga:What are you calculating? Average cost per barrel is $80. If you do that at exchange rate of #400 - $1, you will get approximately 51billion naira per day. 3 Likes 1 Share |

It will not have any positive impact on the Nigerian economy, because it will be taken outside to refine and brought back to the country with only two products; petrol and Diesel, where are the other products and the residues. The country is bleeding to death with corruption. 1 Like |

What kind of calculationis this. Oil is sold in dollars. Where r u getting 800 naira from and to even think you are projecting nigeria to earn I.2 billion naira a day. That is the money some politicians make a day in this country WibusJaga: 2 Likes 1 Share |

WibusJaga: That's not enough for Nigeria even if prudently managed. We need much more than that. Call me when we.earn five times that daily, then we can talk. Plus oil prices are falling globally. Finally from 2014 to 2022 oil prces were very low. Wehad to take loans. Whoever wins, the loans must be paid back plus we need more loans because the oil money is not enough 1 Like |

FalseProphet1: The only way we can have that is if subsidy is removed totally and completely. Plus fuel can never be affordable. It must be sold at a profit and must be refined properly to reduce its impact on the environment and so that there would be enough kudi for its transport and refining. If you want 20 naira fuel, better be prepeared for heavy duty debt galore. |

TheRareGem1: I hope this increase is real and not audio production? Cos different parts of govt give different figures. Don't be surprised by tomorrow NUPRC or NEITI will come and say Nigeria's production is 1.2mbpd. However, to maximize the benefit of the Dangote refinery, we should be producing 2.5mbpd. So that the 600kbpd refined by Dangote and additional 100kbpd by PH refinery and modular refineries, which do not count to OPEC quota, will allow us export the 1.8mbpd OPEC quota and we earn the full value of our quota in USD. |
Re: NNPCL Confirms Rise Of Oil Production To 1.6 Million BPD by COMPAQ(m): 11:18am On Feb 22, 2023 |
WibusJaga: I hope you know only about 50% of Nigeria's production belongs to the government. The other half goes to JV partners. So it should be 1,600,000*800*80*.5=N54,400,000,000.00 |

SeaTrade: They are always quick in pressing the calculator and doing exchange rates 1 barrel is around $70-80 presently if am right. It takes nigeria about $26 to drill a barrel of oil (total running cost) and the sharing formula between nigeria govt and IOCs is 60/40. So roughly, nigeria government is making about $30 per barrel currently. |
