The idea that the god of the Hebrews is real and that he inspired or directed or dictated the collection of stories and other prose called The Bible is one of the more absurd notions that plagues humanity. A universal god that belongs to one specific culture is apparently irrational even by the illogical standards of superstitious beliefs. Moreover, saying this god communicated through a book written by primitive and violent people with personal agendas beggars belief yet people carry this book around and proclaim it the word of god.
If something is the product of god, shouldn’t it be immune to tampering and differing interpretation by people with agendas?
Take the words servant and the word slave. If this god gave instructions regarding man’s “moral”subjugation of other men, wouldn’t this god be very clear about his instructions to avoid misinterpretations?
An amusing fact about the word of god is that it is 100 percent the opinions of men based on the audience they are trying to bamboozle. Sometimes the word of god is so misinterpreted that it becomes senseless. Take for example of Exodus 21 when the creator of the universe was concerned with Hebrew chattel slavery and issued instructions to Old Moses. In most English translations of the word of god, the passage gives instructions about “servants” but the passage makes no sense when read with the word servant.

Now let’s try a version of the Bible most of you are unaware of that was translated by people who had no issues trying to hide their approval of slavery.

He even went on to Say if a slave escapes do not return him Deuteronomy 23:15.

Everyone can see that every nation took slaves but is only God Who freed them and these Laws were the first sets of Laws geared towards abolishing slavery which by the time of Judges, you do not see any slave in Israel again.

1) Leviticus 19:18 "Thou shall not steal (whether persons or things. Exodus 20:15/17 expanded its scope) neither deal falsely".

It is dealing falsely to take a houseboy/girl for service which is what you told their lawful Masters (parents) only for you to turn them to slaves in your house and beating and evil treating them.
