LISTENING to God is by studying God's word to know what God requires this is where one person can't do because we must work together as a congregation to do God's will so at least two or three persons must study God's word together and while doing so Jesus the head of God's worshipers (head of the church) will send God's Holy Spirit to guide them. Matthew 18:20; John 16:12-13

Now i ask again did Jesus support someone studying God's word (not praying) alone?

That is why he directed Philip the evangelizer to meet the Ethiopian eunuch. That is why, whenever I study point 6 of lesson 1 with my student, I ask him/her. Why is it that God did not reveal the meaning or understanding to this Ethiopian eunuch even though he was sincere and returning from 'church'. Why did God not reveal the meaning to him but directed Philip to teach him the meaning?
It is because, Jehovah is a God of order and unity. The Christian congregation is still new and God will not appreciate different line or school of thoughts like what we see today.
