Yahoo politicians. No wonder kidnapping and ritual were not as rampant in the run up to this election. They print fake dollars and buy votes with it.

Many foolish people will groan with fake naira and dollars today.

If at this stage of your life in Nigeria, you still want to sell your vote or be induced to vote, you are destined to suffer and die in penury and poverty.

I swear. Anybody who can sell his or her vote now is destined to suffer for 600yrs

This is one of the reasons why I have strong animosity toward democracy. It is a system where the majority wins, and if the majority are idiots, then the few good ones suffer.

In an underdeveloped, impoverished country with lots of uneducated people as a majority, the circle of hardship will always continue due to the number of masses that will sell their votes. Because according to democracy, the vote of intellectual legends like Soyinka is equal to the one of a northern almajiri that can be bought with a plate of tuwo.

There are more almajiris, religious idiots, uneducated slowpokes, and downright evil people who will sell their vote or vote because the candidate is from their tribe. Should smart people like Soyinka suffer because of that? Democracy is basically the tyranny of the majority.

The idea that the mass is right is nonsense. The mass is a herd of cows, and the smart one is usually the herdsman. Even though the herdsman knows what is good for the cows, if you leave the cows alone, they will wander away and destroy themselves.

And that's just one of the problems with democracy. I haven't even touched on other angles of it such as its vulnerability, susceptibility to hijack, infiltration, and so forth, but if Nigeria really wants to grow, it must come to terms with this reality and confront its political philosophy, instead of foolishly perpetuating the one imposed by its colonial imperialist.

Please why should Soyinka not suffer because of that, if he is too stuffed up as an elite to do the enlightenment work for everyone so there are less illiterates and uneducated literates in the country?

Is that not what Europeans did and continue to do such that they attract our japa people and other resources?

My question is if you have the opportunity to be in power how are you going to overcome this challenges and the Western state that hold African to Ransom

Good question.

I'll ally with another emerging power and get something closed to the "friendship without limit", that Putin and China signed before the Ukrainian war.

If Putin didn't have such assurance, I doubt he would enter that war. Just as the west have sanctioned Russia to death and supported Ukraine, it's exactly how China have supported Russia and when push come to shove, put boots on ground (remember the Korean War).

The recent meeting between Wang Yi and Sergey Lavrov is an evidence that shit is about to turn badly. The Chinese have made it clear using diplomatic language that they are on the side on Russia, and will enter the war if pushed.

China knows intimately well that after Russia, the Western monster is coming for them using Taiwan as a ram. Just this week, up to 200 hundred US soldiers were sent to Taiwan to train the Taiwanese army on tactics to resist mainland potential invasion.

So a strategic move would be to counter the war before it comes to your doorstep. It's better to defeat the West in Ukraine than defeat them in their territory in Taiwan.

So the "international rule based order" the West yap about is basically an euphemism for western hegemony. Okay I went to far, but my point is that you must be covered under the umbrella of a superior power. Or else the monster will crush you like ant.

One thing a monster fear the most is another monster. And the Chinese /Russian duo are such a ferocious monster, you don't want to mess with them.

While soliciting for the cover from the east (eg by joining BRICS), I'll work tirelessly for true independence. Your kids will be educated and speak the language of their ancestors and learn English as a second language, to start from there.

From food to energy, to education, tech, research, and virtually every area of national interest, build complete self reliance, making my country sanction proof. Then get nuclear weapons, the ultimate goal.

Just think of Thomas Sankara of Burkina Faso, this was his goal before he was murdered by the French. Any African leader that embark on such journey will be targeted, hence you need cover from the eastern duo. Or else, Gadaffi fate awaits you.
