Dead or comatose engines can be washed and detailed to look well...that an engine looks well on camera doesn't necessarily mean it works well.. It also follows that an engine looking dirty on camera doesn't necessarily mean it isn't in top shape.. Personally, I never wash engines of all the cars I have owned, and they were all in top shape.

If one is seriously considering buying a vehicle, I am sure such person can afford data or call credit to inbox the seller and ask for more details as he sees fit, even videos before making a decision on whether to inspect or not.

After all said and done, nothing beats a physical inspection of the vehicle.. Pictures can downplay many defects.

MOST OFTEN THAN NOT, A VEHICLE IN SOUND CONDITION WILL LOOK IT VIA PICTURE. THE OTHER FEW TIMES, THE SELLER IS TRYING TO BE CRAFTY.

NORMAL DIRT AND GRIME ON COMPONENTS WITHIN AN ENGINE BAY DOESN'T IN ANYWAY DISCREDIT A VEHICLES PERFORMANCE AT LEAST TO THE TRAINED EYE BUT THE PROBLEM WITH SO CALLED CAR DEALERS ON HERE IS THAT THEY TRY AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE TO MARKET/SELL A VEHICLE WHICH THEY HAVEN'T EVEN PHYSICALLY SEEN OR INSPECTED THEMSELVES.
