Stephen elop na Trojan horse na him cause nokia downfall by partnering with Microsoft, back then nokia get Symbian os and meego os(nokia n9) if only nokia develop Dat meego nobody for the talk of Android meego no need navigation buttons everything na just swipe, the tech was ahead of its time, check nokia n9.

Look like that os could not go further... Android is open os, almost everybody contributed to Android that's why it took over. Symbian was limited to Nokia staffs and some special contractors, they could not satisfy our needs in time. That whatsapp guy had to offer Nokia whatsapp but Nokia did not take it seriously. That was the time they could had made the os open system but may be the os didn't have any future anyway.

Symbian became open source but it too late. Beside Symbian os wasn't built for touch screen, nokia had to go back and redesign it as Symbian Anna and belle which was introduced on nokia n8, e6, preview and many other but it already late. It wasn't really Android that kill nokia, it was ios. Android did the burial.
