Breaking!!! Peter Obi of the Labour Party has emerged as the winner of the presidential election in Lagos State. Interestingly, the election saw Obi defeating Bola Tinubu after the votes were calculated from all the 20 Local Government Areas (LGAs) in the state.

The victory is particularly significant as Lagos State is historically Tinubu’s stronghold. However, Obi’s victory indicates that the tides may be shifting in Lagos politics.

Peter Obi wins Lagos

According to the results announced at the Lagos collation centre, Tinubu polled 572,606 votes, while Obi garnered 582,454 votes. Atiku Abubakar came a distant third, polling only 75,750 votes.


On the other hand, the victory of Obi in Lagos State is expected to have a significant impact on the outcome of the presidential election. This is so as Lagos State is one of the most populous and influential states in Nigeria.

Obi’s victory in Lagos State is also expected to boost the chances of the Labour Party in other states across the country.
